The Philips OLED800 series has long been the brand\u2019s answer to LG\u2019s popular C-series, combining top-tier OLED picture quality with a more affordable price tag. For 2025, Philips introduces the OLED810<\/strong>, the successor to the OLED807, OLED808, and OLED809. While the differences from last year\u2019s model aren\u2019t dramatic, the OLED810 shows clear refinement \u2014 making it one of the most balanced mid-range OLED TVs you can buy.<\/p>\n

We took a closer look at the 55-inch Philips OLED810 4K HDR TV<\/strong>, and here\u2019s how it stacks up.<\/p>\n

Design<\/h2>\n

The Philips 55OLED810 carries over much of the sleek design we\u2019ve come to expect from the series. It has a razor-thin OLED panel, a solid metal frame, and a slim black casing that houses the electronics, Ambilight LEDs, and ports.<\/p>\n

The biggest design change this year is the stand. Like last year\u2019s OLED809, it sits on a central swivel base \u2014 a useful and often overlooked feature. The base is now slimmer, longer, and rounded on both sides, giving the TV a more refined look.<\/p>\n

As always, the three-sided Ambilight system<\/strong> is the star of Philips\u2019 design language. It projects colored light that matches the content onto the wall behind the TV, creating a more immersive experience. Over the years, Ambilight has gained features such as sunrise\/sleep modes, adaptive brightness via sensors, and customizable light profiles.<\/p>\n

Remote Control<\/h2>\n

The OLED810 ships with the same USB-C rechargeable remote as the OLED950. It feels premium, though its sharp edges make it less comfortable than some competing remotes. The backlit buttons are well laid out, but the volume and channel rockers could have been designed with a wider tilt surface.<\/p>\n

Picture Quality<\/h2>\n

The OLED810 uses an OLED EX panel<\/strong>. While not as advanced as the META3 panel in the OLED950, it still delivers excellent results.<\/p>\n
