Large three-row crossovers are gaining popularity in China, and\u00a0\u00a0Dongfeng has prepared such a model for its most prestigious brand, Voyah. The flagship crossover\u00a0was\u00a0announced back in April, and now Voyah Taishan is shown in light camouflage in branded photos \u2014 and the first details have emerged.<\/p>\n

Even through the decorative film, it is clear that the appearance of the upcoming crossover is made in the same style as the recently announced\u00a0Voyah Passion L\u00a0sedan\u00a0. The steep front end is decorated with a monumental radiator grille with vertical slots, and two-level headlights are installed on the sides. Voyah itself is not shy about comparing Taishan with the\u00a0Rolls-Royce Cullinan\u00a0crossover : in one of the published photos, the cars are standing next to each other. However,\u00a0\u00a0the dimensions\u00a0of\u00a0\u00a0the two\u00a0\u00a0models\u00a0are\u00a0\u00a0indeed similar: length – 5.3 meters, wheelbase – 3.1 meters. Although the direct competitor for the Voyah flagship will still be\u00a0the Zeekr 9X\u00a0.<\/p>\n

There are no images\u00a0\u00a0of the interior yet, but it is known that\u00a0\u00a0Voyah Taishan will have a three-row cabin for six passengers, that is, there will be two seats in each row. It will\u00a0also have\u00a0advanced on-board electronics with artificial intelligence and augmented reality.\u00a0The\u00a0head of Voyah,\u00a0\u00a0Lu Fang, also said that the flagship crossover will have the latest Huawei ADS 4.0 Ultra autopilot. It will include four lidars at once, the body of one of them traditionally rises above the windshield. Such an autopilot will correspond to the third level of autonomy.<\/p>\n

The Voyah Taishan\u00a0\u00a0crossover\u00a0will be the first model built on the new\u00a0\u00a0Tianyuan\u00a0 platform\u00a0with\u00a0\u00a0an 800-volt electrical system. According to preliminary information, a purely electric version and a serial hybrid will be available. Another feature of the new architecture will be the deep integration of Huawei solutions, meaning that\u00a0\u00a0the IT\u00a0giant will provide not only its autopilot, but also other services.\u00a0\u00a0Previously, axial electric motors (each delivering up to 680 Nm), fully controlled chassis, steering by wire and active hydropneumatic suspension were announced for the flagship.<\/p>\n

The Voyah Taishan\u00a0\u00a0crossover is currently\u00a0\u00a0undergoing final testing in the deserted northwest of China.
