This updated version aims to produce a driver that achieves an exceptionally flat high-frequency response while minimizing distortion for accurate acoustic reproduction. Grado specifies a frequency response range of 3.5Hz to 51.5kHz, with a total harmonic distortion (THD) measurement of less than 0.1% at a sound pressure level of 100dB.<\/p>\n

The driver features a paper composite cone, paired with a high flux magnetic circuit and a copper-aluminum voice coil. Grado asserts that the combination of the magnetic circuit and voice coil enhances the dynamic performance of the new headphones, providing a nuanced sense of space, soundstage, detail, and imaging.
