It will reportedly be the first model to feature new audio technology from Mayht, which Sonos acquired in 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>According to The Verge, which also published photos of the new product, Lasso is a name that is not yet final. The new product will be similar to the current flagship Sonos Arc soundbar, but will feature improved bass, Bluetooth support, and a physical switch to disable the built-in microphone.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/21_techweek.webp\" alt=\"Sonos Lasso Soundbar\" \/><\/div>\n<div class=\"ad-inpage\" data-v-9bcfe0b3=\"\" data-v-55d87938=\"\">\n<div id=\"adfox_inpage_desktop_80100152\" data-v-9bcfe0b3=\"\"><\/div>\n<div id=\"adfox_inpage_mobile_23822521\" data-v-9bcfe0b3=\"\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"news__content\" data-v-55d87938=\"\">\n<div data-v-55d87938=\"\">\n<p><i><span>\u201cThe Lasso soundbar looks very similar to the Arc, which Sonos introduced more than four years ago. But inside, the components and drivers have been completely redesigned, which is expected to push the soundbar\u2019s price up to $1,200. Sonos plans to release the Lasso later this year, though the timing could change,\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/i><b><span>The Verge<\/span><\/b><span>\u00a0reports\u00a0.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/22_techweek.webp\" alt=\"Sonos Lasso Soundbar\" \/><span>The new Lasso soundbar will likely be the first Sonos product to integrate technology from Mayht, a Netherlands-based audio company that Sonos acquired in 2022 for around $100 million. At the time, CEO\u00a0<\/span><b><span>Patrick Spence<\/span><\/b><span>\u00a0said Mayht\u00a0<\/span><i><span>had \u201cinvented a new, revolutionary approach to audio transducers<\/span><\/i><span>\u00a0,\u201d apparently using neodymium magnets.
