Panasonic recently announced the prices for the new 2024 OLED top TV models and their start of sales in Germany.\u00a0These include the two\u00a0Panasonic Z93A & Z95A\u00a0, which are equipped with an\u00a0Amazon Fire OS operating system\u00a0for the first time .<\/p>\n

As was the case last year, Panasonic had a big launch event, the new devices will be available from July 2024 or will be available from dealers.<\/p>\n

In order to understand the current Panasonic model series, let’s take another quick look at the devices of 2023, which\u00a0were widely announced (we reported)\u00a0.\u00a0In this breakdown, the Japanese company has launched devices with its own OS (My Home Screen), a model series with Google TV, and also offshoots with the Fire TV operating system.\u00a0The difference with the 2023 devices, however, was that the Fire TV offshoots were comparatively \u201cweaker\u201d and belonged to the MXW800 series.\u00a0Last fact, so far only as LCD.<\/p>\n

Let’s move on to the new products that have now been announced as highlight devices, including the best Panasonic panel, the\u00a0Master OLED Ultimate\u00a0.\u00a0This is again equipped with\u00a0MLA technology\u00a0and, according to the manufacturer, works with improved cooling management in order to achieve the desired peak brightness.\u00a0Of course, values \u200b\u200bhave not yet been mentioned (\u2026) Also new this year is the option of\u00a0144 Hz display\u00a0for content.\u00a0This aspect should particularly benefit gaming.\u00a0The HCX Pro AI processor MK II is used as the central processing unit. Both devices also support Dolby Vision IQTM Precision Detail, an image enhancement system that aims to make additional details visible.\u00a0This evolution of Dolby Vision IQTM adjusts the light level in each area of \u200b\u200bthe screen to bring out more detail without increasing brightness to the point where the image appears washed out.\u00a0This technology works in conjunction with the ambient light or a sensor that detects the brightness in the respective room.<\/p>\n

Again on the topic of gaming: with the help of the new\u00a0Game Mode Extreme,\u00a0<\/em>the device is now being optimized for use on the PC and also the console.\u00a0Of course, HDMI 2.1 interfaces with High Frame Rate Support (HFR), VRR up to 144 Hz and HDR support are on the must-have list.\u00a0Panasonic also includes Dolby Vision Gaming as a feature.\u00a0They also want to improve the response time, which is even lower than last year’s devices.<\/p>\n

Appropriate gaming profiles (RPG, FPS or sports) are tailored precisely to the \u201cexperience\u201d to be presented, so that the sound is also tailored to it.\u00a0Another important feature is HDR image adjustment with Tone Mapping OFF.\u00a0It allows for perfect adjustment of HDR games directly at the source, ensuring high brightness levels and detailed visibility without exaggerating the highlights.<\/p>\n

Sound\u00a0is another important point: Here they want to have a lot integrated again and, as usual with the top models, rely on a full-fledged sound system that was developed in collaboration with\u00a0Technics\u00a0and is fully Dolby Atmos certified.<\/p>\n

What the operating system looks like now in general should be an exciting question, because as before, there is no longer a syllable mentioned about \u201cMy Home Screen\u201d.\u00a0Here you rely entirely on the functionalities of Amazon’s Fire TV, along with all other functions.\u00a0Whether this operating system will be introduced on a wide scale is currently purely speculative, but it would certainly be conceivable, as such rumors were already circulating on the web a few months ago.\u00a0We expect a final performance in spring or May \/ June.<\/p>\n
