Sony \u03b19 III, \u03b11 and \u03b17S III cameras will receive a digital signature and C2PA authentication to combat images generated by artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n

Back in November, Sony\u00a0confirmed\u00a0that they were in the second phase of testing to add C2PA signature and authentication.\u00a0Testing has now been completed and a major firmware update is being prepared for release for the\u00a0Sony \u03b19 III\u00a0,\u00a0Sony \u03b11\u00a0and\u00a0Sony \u03b17S III\u00a0.<\/p>\n

A firmware update, due out this spring, will allow you to add digital signatures to captured photos and videos.\u00a0Consequently, photo agencies and stocks will give preference to images captured on cameras, which will make it easy to recognize the authenticity of the images and will help to easily distinguish the real image from the one created by artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n
