Chord Electronics\u2019\u00a0BerTTi, the British company\u2019s most affordable ULTIMA-technology stereo power amplifier to date, is now available to buy internationally, via Chord Electronics\u2019 global retailer network.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Designed, engineered and\u00a0handmade in England<\/strong>, BerTTi brings the amplifier specialist\u2019s next-generation ULTIMA topology to the Table Top (TT) range for the first time.<\/p>\n

BerTTi is the perfect partner for the\u00a0Hugo TT 2<\/a>\u00a0DAC\/preamp\/headphone amplifier and following the Hugo TT 2\u2019s\u00a020 percent price reduction<\/a>\u00a0in September 2023, both devices now have price parity at \u00a33,995 each.<\/p>\n

BerTTi\u2019s advanced ULTIMA topology enables the Hugo TT 2 to deliver its full potential \u2014 the duo forming a feature-packed, British-made pre\/power amp with the benefit of class-leading digital conversion built in, negating the need for an external DAC.<\/p>\n

Performance can be increased further still with the addition of the TT range\u00a0Hugo M Scaler<\/a>, which adds the ability to upscale audio to 705.6 kHz \u2014 16x CD\u2019s native resolution. The three-box combination of the Hugo TT 2, BerTTi and Hugo M Scaler delivers a trio of advanced\u00a0<\/em>proprietary Chord Electronics\u2019 technologies: the ULTIMA amplifier topology, FPGA-based digital upscaling, plus powerful custom-coded D\/A\u00a0conversion.<\/p>\n

BerTTi<\/a>\u00a0is a\u00a0<\/strong>fully balanced 75-watt design with advanced dual-feed-forward error-correction topology, which monitors and immediately corrects signals before the output stage. It directly replaces its predecessor, the TToby.<\/p>\n

The amplifier features two modified power supplies for increased performance, plus an additional auxiliary power rail for the front end, which provides extra voltage to drive the custom-made MOSFETs.
