The French company\u00a0LiveHorn\u00a0, specializing in the development and production of exclusive horn acoustic systems, introduced the\u00a0Orion\u00a0model .\u00a0The new product offers the entire LiveHorn experience in a more compact format.\u00a0Following the introduction of the LiveHorn brand and top-of-the-line LiveHorn Grand Horizon\u00a0speakers earlier this year\u00a0, the French manufacturer has released the LiveHorn Orion, an active 3-way speaker system with digital phase correction.<\/p>\n

The complete system consists of two speakers, a preamplifier and all necessary cables.\u00a0LiveHorn Orion connects to sources via SPDIF, analog via RCA, or via Bluetooth.\u00a0The preamplifier is connected to the speakers via a digital interface.<\/p>\n

LiveHorn Orion speaker cabinets are made from oiled solid beech wood, acrylic resin, stained MDF and waxed concrete.\u00a0On request, it is possible to use other materials and integrate content sources.<\/p>\n

The high-frequency range from 2.3 to 20 kHz is assigned to an inch compression tweeter with a sensitivity of 103 dB (1 W\/m), equipped with an anodized magnesium diaphragm and a ferrite magnetic system.\u00a0The tweeter operates in a horn acoustic design (D=19 cm).\u00a0Mid frequencies from 180 Hz to 2.3 kHz are reproduced by a pair of 12 cm cone drivers with a sensitivity of 92 dB (1 W\/1 m).\u00a0The emitters are equipped with a neodymium magnetic system and placed in a sealed housing.\u00a0The bass part of the range from 23 to 180 Hz is reproduced by a speaker with a diffuser with a diameter of 23 cm, having a sensitivity of 82 dB (1 W\/1 m).\u00a0The emitter is equipped with a ferrite magnetic system and operates in a closed acoustic design, emitting into the floor.<\/p>\n

Each speaker is equipped with three amplifiers operating in class D and developing a total of 600 watts.\u00a0The separation of the areas of responsibility of the speakers is realized by digital filters (24 bit\/48 kHz) with a high slope of the eighth order.\u00a0Phase correction (FIR) and precise time synchronization of the emitters are also implemented here.\u00a0With dimensions of 130 x 42 x 57 cm, each speaker weighs 37 kg.<\/p>\n
