The rate at which it is now offering security updates is impressive<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The company currently provides updates to more than a billion devices monthly and more than 10 billion annually.\u00a0Samsung has put an incredible amount of resources into this.\u00a0It&#8217;s worth noting that the pace at which it is now sending out new security updates is impressive.\u00a0The manufacturer&#8217;s intention to extend the support period for its devices most likely does not mean that Samsung will offer more than four Android OS updates.\u00a0We are talking about enhanced security support.<\/p>\n<p>Google currently offers a record support period of 7 years.\u00a0It is followed by Apple (6 years) and Fairphone (5 years).\u00a0Samsung, OnePlus, Huawei and Xiaomi promise 4 years of updates, Motorola and Nothing &#8211; 3 years.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Samsung is the leader among Android device manufacturers in terms of software support.\u00a0For some smartphones, the company provides 5 years of updates: 4 years of Android OS release and another year of security patches.\u00a0The South Korean giant is now considering extending support to meet industry standards.
