Google Pixel 8<\/h2>\n

At the design level, Google is committed to a fairly recognizable aesthetic for these terminals, which is characterized by a slender silhouette with metallic finishes, an aluminum frame and a\u00a0polished glass back<\/strong>\u00a0.\u00a0Color options this year are: lichen green, obsidian and pink.<\/p>\n

In addition to a neat appearance, these devices seem quite resistant, as they exhibit\u00a0IP68 certification against water and dust.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is where the differences between the models begin, since the Google Pixel 8 is presented to us with a\u00a06.2-inch OLED screen with FullHD+ resolution<\/strong>\u00a0(2,400 x 1,080 pixels), 428 dpi density, 120Hz refresh rate and maximum brightness 1,400 nits.\u00a0The Pixel 8 Pro ups the ante, but more on that later.<\/p>\n

Inside the Pixel 8 series features Google’s<\/strong>\u00a0shiny new Tensor G3 chip\u00a0, which offers top-notch performance and the ability to power generative AI-related tasks;\u00a0Not to mention that it is accompanied by the Titan M2 security chip to protect the user’s personal information.\u00a0That said, this model is accompanied by 8GB of RAM and 128\/256GB internal storage.<\/p>\n

Powering the terminal, we will find a\u00a04,575mAh battery with 45W fast charging<\/strong>\u00a0.<\/p>\n

As you might expect, Google has made significant improvements to the camera system on these devices.\u00a0The standard Pixel 8 has a dual camera with a 50MP (f\/1.68) main sensor<\/strong>\u00a0and a 12MP wide-angle sensor.\u00a0Meanwhile, the selfie camera is 10MP and boasts autofocus, as well as a pixel size of 1.22 microns.<\/p>\n

Regarding the operating system, Android 14 makes its debut on these terminals and they will receive version updates for 7 years in a row.<\/p>\n

Pixel 8 Pro<\/h2>\n

The Pixel 8 Pro ups the ante from the start, sporting a\u00a06.7-inch Super Actua Display OLED<\/strong>\u00a0with a resolution of 2,992 x 1,344 pixels.\u00a0Naturally, it has a 120Hz refresh rate and 2nd generation Gorilla Glass Victus glass.<\/p>\n

At the hardware level it is also defined by the\u00a0Google Tensor G3<\/strong>\u00a0, but this time there is more memory and storage.\u00a0In this sense, it comes with 12GB of RAM and 128\/256\/512GB storage options.\u00a0Another relevant improvement can be found in the battery, which reaches\u00a05,050mAh capacity<\/strong>\u00a0, but maintaining the same charging power.<\/p>\n

Curiously, the Pixel 8 Pro incorporates a temperature sensor that we will not see in the base model, and this is compatible with the Fitbit app.<\/p>\n

At a photographic level there is an important qualitative leap, and this begins with a triple camera instead of dual.\u00a0In this order of ideas, the\u00a0main sensor is 50MP and has OIS<\/strong>\u00a0, but that is not all, as it is accompanied by a\u00a048MP wide angle<\/strong>\u00a0and a 48MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom.\u00a0For its part, the front camera is 10MP with f\/2.2 aperture.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that in the Pixel 8 Pro there are additional camera options, the so-called Pro controls, which allow you to adjust the ISO sensitivity, shutter speed and other possibilities.<\/p>\n

The Google Photos Magic Editor<\/strong>\u00a0is present on both terminals\u00a0, which provides photo editing assisted by generative AI that allows you to modify certain elements of a photo with just one touch, such as the position and size of people or objects.<\/p>\n
