active noise cancellation, “enhanced connectivity” with Bluetooth 5.3 and LE Audio, while retaining their unique rock ‘n’ roll aesthetic.

The biggest upgrade is battery life. The new Motif II ANC headphones now have a battery life of six hours with ANC on (the previous Motif only had four and a half hours) and a total battery life of up to 30 hours, including the charging case. That’s 10 hours more than the previous generation, a nice upgrade that puts them on par with Apple’s AirPods Pro 2 for battery life . With ANC off, the operating time of the Motif II ANC headphones increases to nine hours (from a single charge) and 43 hours (with a case). Quite a large reserve of working time. It also supports fast charging, which provides one hour of operation with 15 minutes of charging, wireless charging is supported.

According to Marshall, active noise cancellation has also been improved, but there are no details on exactly how or by how much.

More specifically, there is support for Bluetooth LE Audio, which brings with it a solid connection for wireless streaming between devices. In short, Bluetooth LE Audio offers a more efficient way to transfer music wirelessly, which in turn allows for potentially higher quality audio over Bluetooth (thanks to the LC3 codec, which is higher than standard SBC), as well as longer battery life, improved audio quality over long distances and reduce latency between devices. Marshall says the new Motif II ANC headphones take advantage of all of these benefits, from increased operating range to improved “audio-to-video synchronization.”

The 6mm drivers used in the headphones are unchanged, so all the performance improvements in the Motif II ANC are due to the stability and quality of this “stronger”
