TX-65MX710E: The definition of mid-range at a very good price

Panasonic MX710E is a mid-range among many. This does not mean that it is a bad option, on the contrary, it is as good as any other of the style. In addition, some details make it quite interesting, such as its price itself, Atmos playback, the enormous compatibility of available formats, the use of Android or its beautiful design.

Design and connectivity

Panasonic TX-55MX710 is really a nice TV model

On a personal note, what I like the most in terms of the design of the television is its silver frame on the lower horizontal. The rest, as you see above, are non-existent, which helps the image appear to come out of the device.

Another differentiating point of the Panasonic 55MX710E, although it is seen more and more on TVs, is its support . It is a thin black central rectangle attached to the panel by a prism trunk with a circular base, very similar to the “classic” monitor.

For the rest, we have a model of 769 x 1233 x 221 mm and 17 kilos with a panel that can be disassembled to hang and that is 711 x 1233 x 66 mm and 13.5 kilos and for which we would need a VESA at 200 x 200mm .

Tuning and connectivity

The tuning capacity of this model is complete, enjoying a digital service with satellite, terrestrial and cable TV, analog NTSC/PAL/SECAM, HbbTV 2.0.2 and CI+ in 1.4 .

Panasonic gives us wireless connectivity that goes through a WiFI 5 system and bluetooth .

The connectors are arranged on the right on the back, in the rear and lateral position

The model also has several physical connectors (in addition to those necessary to enable tuning, of course). We have the CI slot, the antenna jacks, RJ 45 Ethernet, a digital output for optical audio, a headphone jack, two USB 2.0 and three HDMI 2.1 .

Thanks to everything seen in this section, we find that the Panasonic TX-55MX710E has support for HDAVI control via CEC, ARC and eARC, HDCP 2.2 depending on the source, VRR and ALLM.

Image quality and general functions

Panasonic TX-55MX710 comes with a 139 cm diameter panel in LED LCD format whose resolution is Ultra High Definition ; That’s 3,840 pixels wide by 2,160 pixels tall, or what’s mistakenly called 4K. It works with 4K Color Engine as processor.

Said panel is endowed with 50 Hz frequency . Although, it should be mentioned that, as has been the case for a long time with the firm’s mid-range, this frequency is accompanied by a movement assistance system and that for the model it is given in 1400 units. Likewise, the VRR and ALLM options mean that we can adapt said element depending on what we do, especially if we are playing.

The image quality is really the best of the model

For the TV we discovered six picture modes and HDR support in HDR 10, HLD and Dolby Vision .

For video, you will be able to play perfectly the .mpg, .mpeg, .dat, .vob, .mkv, .mp4, .m4v, .mov, .flv, .3gp, .3gpp, .ts, .trp, . tp, .rmvb, .rm, .avi, .265, .asf, .wmv, .webm, .ogm, .264, .avs, and .vc1.

Audio

For audio we discovered two speakers which are full range and 10 W RMS each, making a total of 20 W RMS in a 2.0 .

The model supports special Dolby Atmos audio , although it is not capable of reproducing surround sound from any source.

Finally, we discovered something quite interesting that, although we do not have more enhancement technologies, the sound can be customized quite a bit. I’m talking about the sound modes, which are thirteen (more than image!).

The audio formats are numerous: mp3, .avi, .asf, .wmv, .divx, .mkv, .mka, .3gpp, .3gp, .mp4, .mov, .m4a, .ts, .trp, . tp, .mts, .m2ts, .dat, .vob, .mpg, .mpeg, .flv, .wav, .ogm, .ac3, .ec3, .aac, .wav, .rm, .rmvb, .ra, .ogg, .dts, .flac, .webm, and .ac4.

Analysis of the software / smartTV of the Panasonic TX-65MX710

This is how the interface of the Panasonic 55MX710E is shown

The basis of this television is the Android TV operating system , one of the most popular, if not the most, to date. In addition, a layer has been applied to this, also from Google, Google TV , which customizes the interface and usability so that the Panasonic is not like any other television in this regard.

As is the case when firms turn to Google, they do not do it just for this, but also take advantage of the other options available for smartTVs. Thus, our Panasonic TX-55MX710E will also have:

OK Google Assistant . The remote control has a sensor to capture your voice. Thanks to this, you can talk to the assistant and make requests for both information and orders.

Chromecast function . To do mirroring we find this star function from Google that, although it can be purchased separately, the television has it incorporated.

Play Store . This is the Google app store, which is the largest currently available on Android devices. Even so, I must warn you that not all the software you find for smartphones is available for TV.

Panasonic MX710E: Pros and Cons

PROS:

Android TV + Google
