{"id":164128,"date":"2023-06-27T17:24:29","date_gmt":"2023-06-27T16:24:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.techweekmag.com\/?p=164128"},"modified":"2023-06-27T17:24:29","modified_gmt":"2023-06-27T16:24:29","slug":"viltrox-af-27mm-f-1-2-xf-lens-to-be-announced-in-mid-august","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/photo\/viltrox-af-27mm-f-1-2-xf-lens-to-be-announced-in-mid-august\/","title":{"rendered":"Viltrox AF 27mm F\/1.2 XF lens to be announced in mid-August"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The announced new Viltrox AF 27mm F\/1.2 XF lens for Fujifilm (APS-C) cameras will be announced in mid-August 2023.\u00a0This was officially announced by the manufacturer.\u00a0It should become available for purchase immediately after the announcement.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-277694 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/6_techweek.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"698\" height=\"188\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>The new high-tech lens from Viltrox will be supported by an autofocus system using an STM drive.\u00a0Apparently, it will be the same as in the\u00a0\u00a0previously\u00a0\u00a0released Viltrox AF 75mm F \/ 1.2 XF Pro lens (also for Fujifilm cameras).<\/p>\n<p>The new lens Viltrox 27mm F \/ 1.2 Pro XF, according to a foreign source, will also receive protection from dust and moisture.\u00a0This lens was previously featured on the Viltrox optics roadmap.\u00a0However, it does not yet have other lenses in the \u201cPro\u201d line &#8211; for Fujifilm cameras.<\/p>\n<p>The new lens will look like this:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-277696 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/233_techweek.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"731\" height=\"667\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>The Viltrox Optics Roadmap also lists the following lenses, which are expected in 2023:<\/p>\n<p>Viltrox 16mm F\/1.8 FE<br \/>\nViltrox 28mm F\/1.8 FE<br \/>\nViltrox 75mm F\/1.2 E<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-277697\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/234_techweek.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"950\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>Viltrox AF 16mm F\/1.8 FE lens &#8211; already\u00a0announced\u00a0.\u00a0The optical design of the novelty consists of 12 groups of 15 optical elements, including three aspherical lenses and four lenses with low dispersion (ED).<\/p>\n<p>The difference between this line and the expected novelty of the Pro series is the presence of a display on the lens barrel, and a smaller aperture.\u00a0For fast and accurate focusing and tracking of moving objects, the lens is equipped with a quiet STM stepping motor.<\/p>\n<p>Sony also intends\u00a0to announce\u00a0six new lenses in 2023.\u00a0The following models are confirmed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sony E 16-80mm F\/4 (APS-C)<\/li>\n<li>Sony E 15-45mm F\/3.5-5.6PZ (APS-C)<\/li>\n<li>Sony FE 18mm F\/1.4GM<\/li>\n<li>Sony FE 16-35mm GM II<\/li>\n<li>Sony FE 85mm F\/1.2GM<\/li>\n<li>Sony FE 70-200mm F\/4G II<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The announced new Viltrox AF 27mm F\/1.2 XF lens for Fujifilm (APS-C) cameras will be announced in mid-August 2023.\u00a0This was officially announced by the manufacturer.\u00a0It should become available for purchase immediately after the announcement.
