{"id":163714,"date":"2023-06-21T08:04:43","date_gmt":"2023-06-21T07:04:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.techweekmag.com\/?p=163714"},"modified":"2023-06-21T16:16:11","modified_gmt":"2023-06-21T15:16:11","slug":"sony-camera-announcements-in-2023-revealed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/photo\/sony-camera-announcements-in-2023-revealed\/","title":{"rendered":"Sony camera announcements in 2023 revealed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sony is preparing to introduce four new high-tech cameras during 2023.\u00a0Some of the information about these devices has previously been disclosed, and some details about the likely periods of announcements have become known only now.<\/p>\n<h3>So, four new cameras will be announced:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Sony&#8217;s new APS-C flagship camera\u00a0<strong>A6700<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; July 12<\/li>\n<li>New compact full-frame camera\u00a0<strong>Sony A7cII<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; announcement from September to November<\/li>\n<li>New camera with ultra-high resolution sensor.\u00a0The model has not yet been revealed, but the announcement is expected from September to November<\/li>\n<li>Reportage camera of the new generation\u00a0<strong>Sony A9III<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; announcement at the end of the year (September-January).<\/li>\n<li>The new cinema camera of the FX line.\u00a0The specific model is still unknown.\u00a0Presumably:\u00a0<strong>Sony FX10<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>One of the main features of the new\u00a0<strong>Sony A6700<\/strong>\u00a0is a 26-megapixel sensor with support for matrix stabilization.\u00a0This sensor is similar to the one used in the Sony FX30 professional movie camera.<\/p>\n<p>The stabilization system is able to compensate for movement up to 7 stops of exposure.\u00a0In addition, the camera uses artificial intelligence, similar to that used in the Sony ZV-E1 model.\u00a0This provides more efficient image processing and algorithmic scene recognition.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-276899\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/209_techweek.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"669\" \/><br \/>\nThe Sony A6700 will also feature an improved Quad-VGA OLED Tru-Finder with 3.69 million dots.\u00a0The Sony A6700 will allow you to shoot video in 4K resolution at up to 120 frames per second.\u00a0This will apply an additional crop factor of 1.19x.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the novelty will support S-Cinetone technology, which includes a new gamma and color scheme, as well as S-Log2 and S-Log3 curves with support for 10-bit color depth and 4:2:2 color sampling.<\/p>\n<p>To process image arrays, the Sony A6700 camera will receive a BIONZ XR processor with support for an artificial intelligence system. It is assumed that the price of the camera will be from 1500 to 2000 US dollars for a camera without a lens.<\/p>\n<p>Another camera that Sony is expected to introduce is the\u00a0<strong>Sony FX10 Cinema Camera<\/strong>\u00a0.\u00a0It will be the most affordable cinema camera from Sony.\u00a0The device will receive an active cooling system and a 10 megapixel matrix.\u00a0The optical format of the sensor is APS-C, and the BIONZ XR processor will have artificial intelligence functions similar to the Sony ZV-E1 and Sony ZV-1 II cameras.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-276898\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/210_techweek.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"577\" \/><br \/>\nThe maximum frame rate of 4K video will be 60. In addition, recording to a memory card in 4:2:2 format with a color depth of 10 bits and output via a full-sized HDMI port will be available.<\/p>\n<p>Sony FX10 will not have a mechanical shutter or matrix stabilization, and will not have an ND filter.\u00a0All these changes are implemented in order to improve the active cooling system.\u00a0In addition, the camera will be the lightest in the Sony FX lineup.<\/p>\n<p>The \u00a0<strong>Sony A9III<\/strong>\u00a0, the source said, will receive the most productive and high-speed autofocus, the fastest sensor reading and the highest burst rate.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-276900\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/211_techweek.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"344\" \/><br \/>\nThe Sony A9 III will be equipped with a 50-megapixel full-frame Exmor RS BSI CMOS image sensor.\u00a0It will be able to shoot continuously up to 60 frames per second and have an ISO range of 50 to 102400.
