{"id":163111,"date":"2023-06-11T18:11:32","date_gmt":"2023-06-11T17:11:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.techweekmag.com\/?p=163111"},"modified":"2023-10-18T05:56:11","modified_gmt":"2023-10-18T04:56:11","slug":"samsungs-83-inch-oled-tv-is-on-its-way","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/tv\/samsungs-83-inch-oled-tv-is-on-its-way\/","title":{"rendered":"Samsung&#8217;s 83-inch OLED TV is on its way"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"news__content\" data-v-b1286792=\"\">\n<div data-v-b1286792=\"\">\n<p>According to Korean media reports,\u00a0Samsung Electronics\u00a0is preparing to introduce an 83-inch OLED TV with an\u00a0LG Display\u00a0panel .\u00a0The presentation of new items may well happen in September.\u00a0After lengthy negotiations, LG Display and Samsung Electronics reached an agreement in May 2023 whereby LG Display will supply Samsung Electronics with WOLED panels for use in Samsung TVs.\u00a0We are talking about several million panels per year.<\/p>\n<p>Business Korea reported that Samsung has completed registration of the 83-inch KQ83SC90A OLED TV with the National Radio Research Institute in South Korea, a certification that is required before the TV can be manufactured and sold.\u00a0For example, LG and Samsung go through this process every year before introducing new models at CES.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/188_techweek.webp\" alt=\"Image\" \/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"news__content\" data-v-b1286792=\"\">\n<div data-v-b1286792=\"\">\n<p>Judging by the model index of the TV, the 83-inch OLED TV will be part of the existing S90C line (SC90A is the Korean name for the S90C TV series).
