thanks to its new custom OLED panel, which the brand has dubbed the Master OLED Ultimate. The TV is equipped with a Panasonic HCX Pro AI processor.

It also features a new layered thermal management system and uses Micro Lens Array (MLA) technology to better focus light from the panel’s OLED displays and increase brightness. The company claims peak brightness will be 150% higher than Panasonic ‘s 2022 OLED TVs . This should make it perfect for watching HDR content.

Like previous Panasonic OLED TVs, the MZ2000 supports Filmmaker mode , which aims to present the image exactly as the director intended. But the new model goes even further. It is equipped with an upgraded ambient color temperature sensor that better detects the lighting conditions in the room.

According to Panasonic, this allows the TV to more precisely adjust color and contrast to provide an optimal viewing experience. As with previous OLED displays, Panasonic once again enlisted the help of longtime collaborator and noted Hollywood colorist Stefan Sonnenfeld to ensure the highest possible color fidelity.

Sound from Technics

The new TV features a Dolby Atmos sound system , tuned by Hi-Fi brand Technics. It features multiple built-in speakers that are directed upwards, sideways, and frontally. The front speaker system, hidden under the grille, runs the full width of the TV and now has a wider soundstage.

The sound system has three modes that allow you to control the placement of the sound: at one point (fine position mode), at a specific location or group (area mode), or at one specific location (spot mode). The bass boost algorithm has also been upgraded. It should have more of an impact on low frequencies when the soundtrack calls for it.

Gaming features

The increased brightness of the MZ2000 will certainly benefit everyone, whether they’re watching movies or playing video games on their TV. Gamers will get a new True Game Mode. This mode promises to be as carefully calibrated as the movie presets on your TV.

Panasonic says the MZ2000 will feature improved tone mapping for more accurate HDR, as well as dedicated sound modes for gaming. ALLM and VRR (including G-Sync and FreeSync ) will also be supported. ALLM and VRR are key features expected from any modern gaming TV.

After all, they allow the TV to adjust the frame rate. This means these features can push the frame rate beyond the traditional 120fps, offering a more responsive gaming experience when a compatible console like the PS5 is connected to an HDMI 2.1 port.

However, like its predecessor, the MZ2000 still only has two HDMI 2.1 connectors with 4K/120Hz support. This is a little disappointing considering its high-end rivals boast four such ports. Its Dolby Vision game mode also has a maximum refresh rate of 60Hz rather than 120Hz, which may disappoint some Xbox Series X gamers.

Panasonic MZ2000 specifications:

Now it’s time to figure out exactly which Panasonic TV models to expect in 2023. The MZ2000 is Panasonic’s line-up leader for 2023. The 77-inch model has a slightly better screen than the smaller models. Panasonic calls it Master OLED Pro Cinema Size.

Sizes: 55 inches, 65 inches, 77 inches.
Display type: Master OLED Pro Cinema Size (TX-77MZ2000B), Master OLED Ultimate (TX-65MZ2000B and TX-55MZ2000B).
Resolution: 4K.
Processor: HCX Pro processor with artificial intelligence.
HDMI 2.1 – 2 pcs. + HDMI 2.0 – 2 pcs.
Game Features: Game Mode, VRR, ALLM, AMD Freesync Premium, G-Sync compatible
Sound: 360° Soundscape Pro.

Panasonic MZ1500

Panasonic will be similar to last year’s LZ1500 in that it will be similar to the MZ2000 but with a simplified sound system. It will also come in a larger range of sizes from 42 to 65 inches than its more expensive sibling.

Panasonic MZ1000

Panasonic MZ1000 will be another step back compared to the flagship MZ2000. The MZ1000 features a Master OLED panel rather than a Master OLED Pro like its more expensive brethren. So far, there is no reason to believe that the MZ1000 will not have the same degraded screen as more expensive models.

Panasonic MZ980

The Panasonic MZ980 will be basically identical to the MZ1000, except that, apart from a different design, the sound system will consist of two 10W speakers.

Panasonic MX940

Now about Panasonic LCD TVs. Last year, the company launched the Panasonic LX940 with a 120Hz LCD panel and LED backlight. However, this model was intended only for EU countries.

Panasonic MX800

In 2022, the Panasonic LX800, unlike the rest of the Panasonic line, ran the Google Android TV operating system. It came in 43″, 50″, 55″, 65″, and 75″ sizes. The two smaller models had HDR Bright Panel+ displays, while the larger models had HDR Cinema Display. We hope to see the MX800 in 2023 with a few updates.

Panasonic MX600

Panasonic also introduced new entry-level LCD displays. The MX600 series with 4K resolution and Dolby Vision sounds especially interesting. The new Panasonic MX600s are also the only models that still fit into the lower middle class. In addition to HDR10 and Dolby Vision, they have support for Dolby Atmos.

Apps for Amazon Prime Video, Netflix and YouTube are right on board. Voice control is implemented on Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. The MX600E series models are available in 43″, 50″, 55″ and 65″ screen sizes. A triple tuner is also present on board.

Unfortunately, Panasonic doesn’t reveal exactly what features the HDMI ports support other than eARC . Most likely, there will be only ALLM, and not VRR or 4K at 120 Hz. As interfaces, the manufacturer calls three HDMI, two USB, optical audio input, headphones and Wi-Fi.

Panasonic MS330, MS350 and MS360

Then come the three entry-level series MS330, MS350 and MS360. The MS330 and MS350 are available in 24″ or 32″ screen sizes at 720p resolution. These models have a triple tuner. The difference between the Panasonic MS350 and the MS330 is that the MS350 comes with streaming services as apps at the factory.

In addition, this series is compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa voice assistants. The Panasonic MS360 series with a 40-inch screen has a resolution of up to 1080p. It should be noted that Panasonic acts primarily as a brand. The company relies on Vestel as a low cost LCD partner. Vestel is also behind brands like Toshiba or Telefunken. So Panasonic is more of a brand than a manufacturer here.

Panasonic TV lineup 2023

Panasonic TX-55MZ2000.
Panasonic TX-65MZ2000.
Panasonic TX-77MZ2000.

Panasonic TX-42MZ1500.
Panasonic TX-48MZ1500.
Panasonic TX-55MZ1500.
Panasonic TX-65MZ1500.

Panasonic TX-55MZ1000.
Panasonic TX-65MZ1000.

Panasonic TX-42MZ980.
Panasonic TX-48MZ980.
Panasonic TX-55MZ980.
Panasonic TX-65MZ980.

Panasonic TX-43MX940.
Panasonic TX-49MX940.
Panasonic TX-55MX940.
Panasonic TX-65MX940.
Panasonic TX-75MX940.

Panasonic TX-43MX800.
Panasonic TX-50MX800.
Panasonic TX-55MX800.
Panasonic TX-65MX800.

Panasonic TX-43MX600E.
Panasonic TX-50MX600E.
Panasonic TX-55MX600E.
Panasonic TX-65MX600E.

Panasonic TX-40MS360E.

Panasonic TX-24MS350E.
Panasonic TX-32MS350E.

Panasonic TX-24M330E.
Panasonic TX-32M330E.

In early summer 2023, Panasonic unveiled its 2023 TV lineup. Not only top models have become known, but also the names of TVs in the initial and middle price segments. What’s new and should we expect improvements in 2023 Panasonic TVs? We will try to answer these questions in this article.
