But unlike some\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/guide\/gaming\/top-5-worst-games-of-2020\/\"><u>games<\/u><\/a> in the genre. It\u2019s also got a cast of characters, called Agents, each with their personality and abilities. So while shooting may be the most important skill in Valorant, knowing how to use your Agent to their full potential is a close second.<\/p>\n<p>Each player agent or character avatar is modeled and based on different countries and cultures with unique abilities requiring tactical attacks through kills, deaths, orbs, and objectives. They all have their own \u201csignature\u201d style of combat technique.<\/p>\n<p>Here we will discuss some of the best Valorant Agents, along with a look at exactly what their abilities will do.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Valorant Characters<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Before decoding into the specific abilities of these characters, it is imperative to know that, Each character has four abilities: one Signature Abilities they get for free every round, two that they have to buy (but they\u2019ll keep over multiple rounds until they\u2019re used up), and one ultimate ability that has to be charged by getting kills.<\/p>\n<h3>Phoenix<\/h3>\n<p>The Most stylish cyberpunk character in Valorant history.\u00a0<strong>Phoenix<\/strong> perfectly blends style and elegance, creating havoc on enemies.<\/p>\n<p>Phoenix\u2019s star power shines through in his fighting style, igniting the battlefield with flash and flare. Whether he\u2019s got backup or not, he\u2019s rushing in to fight on his terms.<\/p>\n<p>These are some of his great abilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Curveball- Cast a curving flare that bursts into brilliant light after a brief delay, temporarily blinding all looking at it. Left-click curves it left, right-click curves it right.<\/li>\n<li>Blaze &#8211; Cast out a flame wall that blocks vision and damages anyone passing through it. You can bend the wall when casting by turning while holding the left click.<\/li>\n<li>Signature Ability: Hot Hands &#8211; Throw a fireball that explodes after a delay or upon impact with the ground. The fire zone damages enemies and heals you.<\/li>\n<li>Ultimate Ability: Run it Back &#8211; Mark your current location. If you die during this ability\u2019s duration or when this ability\u2019s duration expires, you\u2019ll be reborn at the marked location with full health.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Astra<\/h3>\n<p>Activate to enter Astral Form, where you can place Stars with primary fire. Stars can be reactivated later, transforming into Nova Pulse, Nebula, or Gravity Well. When Cosmic Divide is charged, use secondary fire in Astral Form to begin aiming it, then primary fire to select two locations.<\/p>\n<p>An infinite Cosmic Divide connects the two points you select. Cosmic Divide blocks bullets and heavily dampens audio.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gravity Well \u2013 Activate a Star to form a Gravity Well. Players in the area are pulled toward the center before it explodes, making all players still trapped inside fragile.<\/li>\n<li>Nova Pulse \u2013 Activate a Star to detonate a Nova Pulse. The Nova Pulse charges briefly and then strikes, concussing all players in its area.<\/li>\n<li>Nebula \u2013 Activate a Star to transform it into a Nebula (smoke).<\/li>\n<li>Dissipate \u2013 Use (F) on a Star to Dissipate it, returning the star to be placed in a new location after a delay. Dissipate briefly forms a fake Nebula at the Star\u2019s location before returning.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Cypher<\/h3>\n<p>Cypher is a one-man surveillance network that properly tracks the enemy\u2019s every move. No secret is safe. No maneuver goes unseen. Cypher is always watching.<\/p>\n<p>These are some of his great qualities to utilize in the game.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Free Ability: Trapwire &#8211; Place a stealthed tripwire between two walls. Triggering enemies are restrained and revealed for a short time. If the trap is not destroyed, it activates to daze the trapped victim. It can be picked up.<\/li>\n<li>Spycam- Place a remote camera. After placing, reactivate to view the video feed. Left-click while in camera to fire a tracking dart. It recharges when picked up or killed.<\/li>\n<li>Cyber Cage &#8211; Toss out a remote activation trap. Reactivate to create a cage that slows enemies who pass through it. Look at a trap, press USE to detonate it, or hold activate to detonate all.<\/li>\n<li>Signature Ability: Spycam &#8211; Place a remote camera. After placing, reactivate to view the video feed. Left click while in camera to fire a tracking dart. Recharges when picked up or killed.<\/li>\n<li>Ultimate: Neural Theft and Extract information from an enemy&#8217;s corpse, revealing their living allies&#8217; location.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>FADE<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Seize \u2013 Equip an orb of nightmare ink. Fire to throw the orb, which will plummet to the ground after a set time. Upon hitting the ground, the ink will explode and create a zone where enemies caught in it cannot escape the zone by normal means. Re-use the ability to drop the projectile early in the flight.<\/li>\n<li>Prowler \u2013 Equip a Prowler. Fire will send the Prowler out, causing it to travel in a straight line. The Prowler will lock onto any enemies or trails in their frontal vision cone and chase them, nearsighted them if it reaches them. Hold the fire button to steer the Prowler toward your crosshair.<\/li>\n<li>Haunt \u2013 Equip a nightmarish entity. Fire to throw the orb, which will plummet to the ground after a set time. Upon hitting the ground, the orb will turn into a nightmarish entity, revealing the location of enemies caught in its line of sight. Enemies can destroy this entity. Re-use the ability to drop the projectile early in the flight.<\/li>\n<li>Ultimate: Nightfall \u2013 Equip the power of Fear. Fire sends out a wave of nightmare energy that can traverse through walls.
