The French company\u00a0Apertura Audio\u00a0will show a floor-standing speaker model\u00a0Apertura Fort\u00e9 at the\u00a0High\u00a0<\/i>End\u00a0<\/i>Show\u00a0<\/i>2023<\/i>\u00a0opening in Munich on May 18\u00a0.\u00a0The manufacturer says about this model:\u00a0\u201cFort\u00e9 combine several qualities that often contradict each other.\u00a0<\/i>High sensitivity, which will enchant owners of class A tubes and amplifiers, is combined here with impressive bass depth.\u00a0<\/i>And all this in a compact body and elegant design<\/i>\u00a0.<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/i><\/i><\/i><\/i><\/p>\n

The acoustics also feature the well-known qualities of Apertura products, such as timbre accuracy, high linearity and the ability to form a three-dimensional soundstage.\u00a0The manufacturer positions Fort\u00e9 to work in rooms with an area of \u200b\u200b\u200b\u200bat least 25 – 30 square meters.\u00a0Since the large-diameter bass-reflex port is located on the back of the cabinet, it is recommended to place the speakers at a distance of 50 – 60 cm from the wall, if possible.<\/p>\n

The MF\/LF range is served by two speakers from the Norwegian company Seas with light paper cones with a diameter of 18 cm, filled with reed fibers.\u00a0The emitters are characterized by a linear frequency response.\u00a0The high-frequency range is reproduced by a 29 mm tweeter from the “Ring Radiator” family.\u00a0The special cone shape provides a frequency response that goes beyond 20 kHz.\u00a0Powerful neodymium magnet system provides high sensitivity of the model.<\/p>\n

Like all Apertura loudspeakers, Fort\u00e9 speakers are equipped with a passive crossover using the patented “DRIM” technology.\u00a0This type of crossover uses three types of filters – with attenuation of 6, 12 and 24 dB per octave.\u00a0Provides phase matching over the entire operating range, as well as minimizing intermodulation distortion.\u00a0All audiophile-grade crossover components are air-core inductors wound with heavy gauge enamelled wire, polypropylene capacitors and wire wound resistors.\u00a0For internal wiring, a high-purity oxygen-free copper cable with a large cross section is used.\u00a0For connecting speaker cables, silver-plated copper terminals are provided, compatible with both banana plugs and spade connectors.<\/p>\n

The Fort\u00e9 cabinet is made from 25 mm thick MDF panels and features non-parallel front and back walls and two curved sides.\u00a0To stiffen the structure and limit the spread of unwanted vibrations, four strong struts are located inside the case.<\/p>\n
