For its half-century anniversary, the British company\u00a0Rega\u00a0has released a special anniversary version of perhaps the most popular turntable model in its nomenclature –\u00a0Rega Planar 3 50th Anniversary Edition\u00a0.<\/p>\n

The spinner is available in a new walnut veneer finish and comes with a Neo PSU MK2 external power supply for precise disc speed control and vibration minimization, and a factory-installed Rega Exact Moving Magnet (MM) cartridge.<\/p>\n

The Rega Planar 3 50th Anniversary Edition features a precision signature RB330 tonearm and a 12mm clear tempered glass platter.\u00a0The drive uses Rega’s signature belt and CNC-machined aluminum drive pulley (similar to the Planar 6).\u00a0The anniversary edition is marked with a special aluminum plate with the model name, as well as a smoked dust cover.<\/p>\n

Rega does not limit the number of anniversary turntables that will go on sale, however they will only be available in 2023.\u00a0The Rega Planar 3 50th Anniversary Edition\u00a0has a suggested retail price of\u00a0\u00a3899\u00a0in the UK\u00a0, saving \u00a3269 compared to buying the standard Planar 3 with Exact belt and Neo external power supply.<\/p>\n
