Q Acoustics\u00a0presented at the exhibition\u00a0AXPONA 2023<\/i>\u00a0, held last weekend in the United States, a new series of acoustic systems with a model index\u00a05000\u00a0.\u00a0The most notable feature of this series was the use of midrange \/ woofers with a proprietary cone profile\u00a0C3 Continuous Curved Cone\u00a0.\u00a0Also in the columns of the new series, solutions developed for the flagship Concept line were applied.\u00a0Halfway between the 3000i line and the Concept series, the Q Acoustics 5000 family includes the 5010 bookshelf model, the 5020, 5040 and 5050 floorstanding speakers, and the 5090 center channel speaker.<\/p>\n

The innovative profile of the C3 Continuous Curved Cone diffuser is called \u201ccontinuous\u201d for a reason – it is devoid of a dust cap and is a single concave cone with a special profile.\u00a0According to the developers, this solution provides a virtual piston mode of operation, which makes it possible to achieve smoother interlacing with the tweeter and excellent bass dynamics.<\/p>\n

As in the acoustics of the Concept series, the tweeter here is placed in a separate completely sealed volume and mechanically isolated from the front panel to protect against pressure drops inside the cabinet and resonances from the midrange \/ woofer.\u00a0An internal Point-2-Point\u2122 (P2P) brace stiffens the chassis while minimizing low-frequency vibrations.<\/p>\n

The front panels of the Q Acoustics 5000 series are laminated with butyl rubber and finished with black acrylic elements not only to create a damping layer to compensate for vibrations, but also to create a strict design.\u00a0The speakers are offered in four finishes that can seamlessly fit into any interior –\u00a0Satin Black, Satin White, Santos Rosewood and Holme Oak<\/i>\u00a0.\u00a0The older floor standing models 5040 and 5050 feature sturdy aluminum bases with adjustable spikes.<\/p>\n

The Q Acoustics 5020\u00a0bookshelf monitors and\u00a0the 5040\u00a0floorstanding model\u00a0are now available for a suggested retail price of\u00a0\u20ac799\u00a0for bookshelf speakers and\u00a0\u20ac1,299\u00a0for floorstanding speakers.\u00a0The Q Acoustics 5010\u00a0bookshelf model and the\u00a05090\u00a0center channel speaker\u00a0will be available in May – the monitors will cost\u00a0649 euros\u00a0, and the center channel is priced at\u00a0499 euros\u00a0.\u00a0The price and timing of the sale of the older floor model\u00a0Q Acoustics 5050\u00a0will be announced later.<\/p>\n

In addition, the manufacturer offers ready-made\u00a0kits 5.1 of the 5000 series\u00a0for equipping home cinemas.\u00a0The first Q Acoustics 5010 5.1\u00a0set\u00a0consists of four 5010 monitors, a 5090 center channel speaker and a Q Acoustics QB12 active subwoofer.\u00a0Such a kit will cost\u00a02,495 euros\u00a0.\u00a0The second set\u00a0Q Acoustics 5040 5.1\u00a0, as the name implies, uses floor standing speakers 5040 as a front pair.\u00a0The price of such a kit is\u00a03,145 euros\u00a0.\u00a0Both sets are available in\u00a0Satin Black<\/i>\u00a0or\u00a0Stain White<\/i>\u00a0finishes .<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
