The Innuos PULSAR streamer, like the rest of the PULSE series, is a purely digital source that requires a DAC unit in the system – external or built into a pre-amplifier or integrated amplifier.\u00a0However, most modern amplifiers are equipped with digital inputs.\u00a0To broadcast a digital stream, the streamer is equipped not only with coaxial and optical SPDIF outputs, but also with a balanced AES\/EBU port.<\/p>\n
There is also a USB port, and according to the manufacturer, the USB output is optimized here for audio transmission – Innuos PULSAR is equipped with a lightweight version of Phoenix’s proprietary USB reclocker, which is powered by its own CX regulator.\u00a0The SSD drive for running the innuOS operating system in PULSAR is made on SLC modules (single-level cell), unlike the more common TLC modules (three-level cell),<\/p>\n
