A lot of time has passed since the release of the Windows 11 operating system, but users still face a lot of errors.\u00a0And sometimes updates designed to solve some of these problems only make things worse.\u00a0This happened with the latest update KB5023706.<\/p>\n

After installing the update, users began to notice a decrease in the speed of solid state drives.\u00a0Initially, the problem was associated with a specific SSD model – ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro with a capacity of 1 TB.\u00a0But later it turned out that a similar bug is present in systems with other drives.<\/p>\n

\u201cCopying large files of several gigabytes may take longer than expected. You will most likely encounter this issue when copying from a network share via SMB, but the local copy of files can also be affected by this bug.”<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

In fairness, it is worth noting that developers from Microsoft knew about this problem before.\u00a0They even released patch KB5022913 to fix it.\u00a0But for some reason, the error remained in the latest update.\u00a0By the way, the company assured that the problem affects only the corporate segment.\u00a0However, this is not true.\u00a0A number of users on Reddit have reported slowdowns in SSD drives in their gaming laptops.\u00a0While it used to take about 14 seconds to boot the system, now it takes 30-35 seconds.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
