The British company\u00a0Living\u00a0Voice will present at the\u00a0Audio\u00a0<\/i>Show\u00a0<\/i>Deluxe<\/i>\u00a0exhibition , which will be held in Whittlebury Hall on 25 and 26 March, the production version of the new\u00a0R\u00a080\u00a0loudspeakers\u00a0.\u00a0For the first time, these acoustics were shown as a concept four years ago, and now, apparently, these speakers will go on sale very soon.<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/i><\/i><\/p>\n

Kevin Scott\u00a0of Living Voice said,\u00a0\u201cWe wanted to create a speaker that combined the lyricism, coherence and innate musicality of the\u00a0<\/i>OBX\u00a0<\/i>–\u00a0<\/i>RW\u00a0<\/i>4 with the scale and dynamic range\u00a0<\/i>of the Vox\u00a0<\/i>Olympian\u00a0<\/i>.\u00a0<\/i>To achieve this goal, we opted for a\u00a0<\/i>D’\u00a0<\/i>Appolito topology, two-way configuration and phase-reversed acoustic design, using two 8″ drivers and\u00a0<\/i>a\u00a0<\/i>34mm dome tweeter.\u00a0<\/i>We embarked on this path three years ago, and today we present the result of our work<\/i>\u00a0. \u201d<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/i><\/i><\/i><\/i><\/p>\n

The Living\u00a0Voice\u00a0R\u00a080\u00a0speakers\u00a0are built around an elliptical Scan-Speak tweeter and a pair of 8-inch elliptical drivers (elliptical in this case refers not to the shape of the cone, but to the profile of the voice coil).\u00a0Although the official specifications of the Living Voice R80 have not yet been released, it is reported that the new product has a sensitivity of about 96 dB and a “flat impedance response.”\u00a0The model was designed to work with tube single-ended triode amplifiers.\u00a0As with all Living Voice speakers, the precision calibrated crossover components are either made in-house or sourced from carefully selected suppliers.<\/p>\n
