Xiaomi held a big presentation in China, where they showed a lot of new things.\u00a0In this text, I will talk about the new flagship smartphones.<\/p>\n

Design<\/h2>\n

Two truly flagship smartphones with a few differences between them.\u00a0First of all, they relate to design: the base 13 received a flat screen and a more compact body.\u00a0The firmware has a larger screen with rounded edges:<\/p>\n

Dimensions of the basic version: 152.8 \u00d7 71.5 \u00d7 8.0 mm with a weight of 185 grams.\u00a0“Proshka” will be larger: 162.9 \u00d7 74.6 \u00d7 8.4 mm and weighs 210 grams in the leather version and 229 grams in the ceramic version.<\/p>\n

Both smartphones received AMOLED displays with an image display frequency of up to 120 Hz, with support for HDR10 + and a brightness of 1200 nits (typical) or 1900 nits at maximum.\u00a0Size differences: the 13 has a 6.36-inch screen at 1080 \u00d7 2400 pixels, while the 13 Pro has a 6.73-inch screen at 1440 \u00d7 3200 pixels.\u00a0The \u201cfirmware\u201d definitely has protection in the form of tempered glass Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, but it is not known how the screen of the usual 13 is protected.\u00a0Also, only the 13 Pro received an LTPO display layer, which allows you to fine-tune the refresh rate of the image with high precision.<\/p>\n

The main problem with the design is that it’s boring.\u00a0With an eye to the amazingly beautiful\u00a0Xiaomi 11\u00a0, presented two years ago, the strict\u00a0Xiaomi 12\u00a0, one wonders: why did it turn out so poorly this time?<\/p>\n

Gives it, of course, the block of cameras.\u00a0It shows the continuity of generations, but from a distance it looks like just a massive black square.\u00a0Well, you understand.<\/p>\n

Both smartphones come in four colors.\u00a0Blue versions received back covers made of a special leather-like polymer.\u00a0Other versions of 13 Pro are ceramic:<\/p>\n

The base Xiaomi 13 also has a blue leather version, while the rest of the versions have glass backs:<\/p>\n

However, this baby with flat edges also has special colors:<\/p>\n

These versions are sold exclusively in the Chinese official Xiaomi online store.<\/p>\n

Iron<\/h2>\n

Both smartphones run on the new system-on-a-chip Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The versions in both cases are identical: 8\/128, 8\/256, 12\/256 and 12\/512 GB.\u00a0RAM type LPDDR5X, built-in UFS 4.0.\u00a0Its read speed is indicated: for the 128 GB version it is 2.2 GB \/ s, for the 256 or 512 GB versions it is 3.5 GB \/ s.<\/p>\n

Despite the differences in size, the difference in batteries is not as big as it usually turns out with Chinese smartphones.\u00a0Xiaomi 13 received a battery with a nominal capacity of 4500 mAh with support for wired charging up to 67 watts.\u00a0The 13 Pro has 4820 mAh.\u00a0True, here charging is more powerful: 120 watts.\u00a0Both smartphones can charge wirelessly at 50W, as well as charge something wirelessly at up to 10W.<\/p>\n

cameras<\/h2>\n

Smartphones from the same cameras have only a front camera. It takes pictures up to 32 megapixels. Lens aperture – f \/ 2.0, equivalent focal length (EFF) – 22 mm. But the main question for her is this: can this camera shoot video at a resolution greater than 1080p and at a frequency of more than 30 frames per second?<\/p>\n

Xiaomi 12S Ultra : not meeting expectations<\/h4>\n

The rest of the cameras are different.\u00a0All of them received the Leica logo, that is, there will be special photographic presets and optics, seemingly developed in collaboration with specialists from a German company.<\/p>\n

Here are the cameras in the base Xiaomi 13:<\/p>\n
