<\/p>\nToday, December 7, Tecno, as promised a week ago, officially unveiled two flagship smartphones at once – Phantom X2 and Phantom X2 Pro.\u00a0Both models are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor, which is built on a 4nm process and contains eight cores (one Cortex-X2, three Cortex-A710 and four Cortex-A510) with a Mali-G710 MC10 GPU.\u00a0Also, both smartphones use the latest LPDDR5X RAM – the Phantom X2 has 8 GB of RAM, while the Pro version has 12 GB.\u00a0The built-in memory on smartphones is represented by 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage, so in terms of performance, smartphones are almost identical.<\/p>\n

In addition, both smartphones received a fairly high-quality AMOLED display with a diagonal of 6.8 inches, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, Full HD + resolution and Gorilla Glass Victus protective glass.\u00a0The battery capacity also pleased – potential buyers of the gadget get 5,160 mAh with support for 45 W fast charging technology, which is enough to quickly replenish the charge without noticeable battery degradation.\u00a0And when the general characteristics have been announced, and there are quite a lot of them, it’s time to move on to the main differences between the Phantom X2 and Phantom X2 Pro.\u00a0Naturally, as is now accepted on the market, the whole point is in the camera system.<\/p>\n

The main feature of the Phantom X2 Pro is its special portrait lens, which the manufacturer even visually emphasizes.\u00a0This lens boasts an insane f\/1.5 aperture for the smartphone market at a focal length of 65mm.\u00a0For example, the Samsung Galaxy S22+ has a noticeably narrower f\/2.4 aperture at 70mm, just like the Xperia 5 IV.\u00a0Due to this aperture, the smartphone receives two key advantages.\u00a0The first is more light on the image sensor – a large 50-megapixel ISOCELL JN1 sensor will allow you to capture bright pictures even in poor lighting conditions.\u00a0And secondly, thanks to the aperture, the depth of field of the lens allows you to create natural bokeh, accurately separating the subject from the background and blurring the background.<\/p>\n

But the lens chips do not end there, since it is also retractable – the manufacturer really wanted to keep the gadget as thin as possible, so the motorized mechanism extends the lens for shooting and puts it back into the body.\u00a0The main camera of the Pro version of the smartphone is also slightly better than the base model – we are talking about a 50-megapixel ISOCELL 3.0 image sensor from Samsung.\u00a0The list is completed by a 13 MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a macro camera function (there is autofocus).\u00a0However, it cannot be said that the Phantom X2 cameras are much worse – the gadget just uses slightly different methods to get high-quality pictures.<\/p>\n

The fact is that the Phantom X2 smartphone uses an RGBW image sensor, where W is a white subpixel.\u00a0Due to this, the image sensor collects 60% more light, plus the gadget uses glass lens elements instead of plastic ones (like the Pro version), which increases light absorption by 30%.\u00a0As a result, the smartphone captures twice as much light as similarly designed cameras.\u00a0The smartphone also received a similar 13 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor for computational bokeh (this model does not have a special portrait lens).\u00a0And, of course, both smartphones received a 32-megapixel front camera.<\/p>\n
