Another forecast of price changes for OLED TVs is not encouraging: analysts at Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) argue that it is not worth counting on the reduction in price of these devices over the next two to three years.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

OLED TVs are more popular then ever, but prices will stay the same for a while.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The global economy is in a severe crisis, and disposable incomes are declining quite rapidly.\u00a0These factors lead many consumers to believe that OLED TV makers are about to start cutting prices in the hope that buyers will be willing to spend their available funds.\u00a0But such a notion is erroneous.<\/p>\n

Analysts believe that in the near future, the two largest players in the OLED TV market – LG Display and Samsung Display – will reduce investment in equipment needed to manufacture such devices.\u00a0DSCC estimates that total hardware spending has already halved, from $3 billion in 2019 to $1.47 billion in 2021.\u00a0Experts predict that the trend will continue for at least two years.<\/p>\n

The decline in investment is attributed to factors such as economic uncertainty, high inflation and low profitability in the segment of large OLED displays (77 inches and above).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
