The automotive market is moving steadily towards electric vehicles – many major manufacturers have already presented a roadmap according to which they will completely abandon internal combustion engines by 2030.\u00a0<\/span>The American giant Jeep is more realistic about the situation – the company said that by 2030 electric cars will take 50% of the brand’s sales in the US, and in Europe the brand really plans to switch to electric cars 100%.\u00a0<\/span>And to make these statements seem more realistic, Jeep representatives today, September 9, officially announced several electric SUVs at once for every taste and color.<\/span><\/p>\n

So far, the American brand is lagging behind the rest of the world in terms of electric cars, but plans to correct this situation.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

For example, Jeep, which is owned by parent company Stellantis, has officially unveiled images of two full-fledged electric SUVs – we are talking about the all-new Jeep Recon, which is based on Wrangler patterns, and the one-of-a-kind Wagoneer, codenamed Wagoneer S. The manufacturer said that both SUVs should go on sale in the US and some other regions by 2024, but, of course, now these are just promises – the fact is that the manufacturer did not disclose any technical details during the announcement.\u00a0<\/span>There are no prices, no bundles, no features, no battery capacity.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jeep also promised to introduce the Jeep Avenger compact electric SUV in Europe early next year – it’s rather interesting that this particular model has not been announced for the United States.\u00a0<\/span>Moreover, at an official event, company employees said that by 2025 the company has a plan to produce four SUVs based entirely on electric power plants, but so far the brand is ready to show only three models.\u00a0<\/span>The fourth electric car will probably be shown next year at one of the major exhibitions, but even approximately predicting the model or its features is now difficult.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the event, Jeep employees even announced that they plan to become the market leader in electric SUVs around the world – this is an extremely ambitious statement.\u00a0<\/span>The fact is that in fact the battery-powered SUV market is not very developed and is developing to a greater extent in China, while sedans and crossovers are in great demand in the US and Europe.\u00a0<\/span>And Jeep has only recently begun using hybrid powertrains, while competitors from GMC have had full-fledged electric cars for several years.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
