{"id":146982,"date":"2022-07-26T17:18:18","date_gmt":"2022-07-26T16:18:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.techweekmag.com\/?p=146982"},"modified":"2022-07-26T17:18:18","modified_gmt":"2022-07-26T16:18:18","slug":"vizio-launches-sonos-arc-competitor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/speakers\/vizio-launches-sonos-arc-competitor\/","title":{"rendered":"Vizio launches Sonos Arc competitor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"smallFont align-justify\"><b><span>The American manufacturer Vizio has expanded its M-Series Elevate line of soundbars by adding two models with Dolby\u00a0<\/span><\/b><b><span>Atmos support.\u00a0One of them is a 5.1.2 soundbar with signature swivel speakers, a technology found on Vizio&#8217;s flagship models.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"smallFont align-justify\"><span>Vizio M-Series Elevate (M512E-K6, we are talking about it) is an audio system with thirteen speakers.\u00a0It consists of the actual soundbar, wired surround speakers, and a separate wireless subwoofer (45Hz).\u00a0The height speakers along the front of the soundbar automatically rotate 90 degrees when playing Dolby Atmos and DTS:X content to direct sound upwards.\u00a0In other cases, they radiate sound forward, towards the listener.\u00a0The technology was first introduced in 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_146983\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-146983\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-146983\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Vizio-M512E-K6.jpg\" alt=\"Vizio M512E-K6\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Vizio-M512E-K6.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Vizio-M512E-K6-800x533.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Vizio-M512E-K6-1080x720.jpg 1080w, https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Vizio-M512E-K6-770x513.jpg 770w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-146983\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Vizio M512E-K6<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"smallFont align-justify\"><span>Unlike the current leader in this category, the Sonos Arc soundbar, the new product supports both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, as well as HDMI eARC and Bluetooth (5.0) connectivity.\u00a0There are additional HDMI 2.0 ports with 4K Dolby Vision signal pass-through and a separate input for connecting a smart speaker with Google Home or Amazon Alexa voice assistants.\u00a0When the soundbar is used with a Vizio TV, you can control the sound settings using the TV remote control.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"smallFont align-justify\"><span>The second newcomer, the M-Series All-In-One, is a single 2.1-channel soundbar with dedicated bass drivers supporting Dolby Atmos and DTS:X virtual sound.\u00a0Connectivity is the same as the older model.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The American manufacturer Vizio has expanded its M-Series Elevate line of soundbars by adding two models with Dolby\u00a0Atmos support.\u00a0One of them is a 5.1.2 soundbar with signature swivel speakers, a technology found on Vizio&#8217;s flagship models.
