The British company ATC has begun shipments of the new professional active bass machine SCS70 Pro, equipped with a new 12\u2033 bass driver with a shortened voice coil, the stroke of which is increased by 50% compared to previous speakers. Also available as SCS70iW Pro for concealed installation (embedding in walls, etc.).<\/p>\n

As you might guess, the new product is designed for use with active studio monitors of the same brand, and in systems with any configuration (stereo, surround, 3D).<\/p>\n

The lower limit of the frequency range is 22 Hz, and it was achieved without electronic correction – solely due to a special bass driver and an increased body volume.\u00a0This “simple” approach has reduced phase shift and group delay, making it easier to interface with the main speakers.<\/p>\n

The amplifier is also new with a power of 300 W in class AB.\u00a0Assembled by hand at the company’s factory.\u00a0The low-pass filter is analog of the 4th order, built according to the Linkwitz-Riley scheme.<\/p>\n

The maximum sound pressure level is 116 dB (continuous – 110 dB).\u00a0It is possible to combine several subs into a group for scoring large spaces.<\/p>\n
