W35+ : Updated Spherical Speaker with Expanded Connectivity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The French company Elipson\u00a0has updated\u00a0its popular spherical speaker to the W35+ version.\u00a0The firm claims that compared to the Elipson W35 that\u00a0debuted\u00a0in 2019, the model with the + sign has improved sound and connectivity.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/118_techweek.jpg\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" \/><figcaption><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>As for the sound, this version has been equipped with updated silk tweeters, which, according to Elipson, improved the reproduction of high frequencies.\u00a0The 6.5&#8243; mid\/bass drivers and the built-in 350W Class D amplifier remain unchanged.\u00a0The case is 350 mm in diameter, like the original W35.\u00a0With unevenness of \u00b1 3 dB, the Elipson W35+ wins back the range of 47 Hz &#8211; 22 kHz.<\/p>\n<p>From the outside, you can see that the W35 + added an RJ45 network connector (it is used for streaming), as well as digital (optical S \/ PDIF) and analog (3.5 mm AUX mini-jack) inputs.\u00a0Via Bluetooth with aptX HD, the novelty works out audio resolution up to 24 bits, and via a wired network or Wi-Fi it plays CD-quality audio on its own or in multi-room mode.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/119_techweek.jpg\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" \/><figcaption><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>This capability of the W35+ is provided by the Elipson Connect app.\u00a0Other compatible Elipson models such as Music Center Connect HD, Connect Wi-Fi Receiver and Connect Streaming Amplifier can work as part of a &#8220;home audio grouping&#8221;.\u00a0In addition, streaming platforms such as Qobuz, Spotify, Tidal, Deezer and Internet radio are also available through the column app.\u00a0The Elipson W35+ has a dark matte gray finish and is available to buy now.<\/p>\n<p>In Europe, the Elipson W35+ costs 900 euros apiece, and for
