While most of the world gloats about the benefits of 5G, there are already visionaries who are setting their sights on 6G, the next generation of telecommunication networks that should arrive in 2030. One such visionary entity is\u00a0Huawei,<\/strong>\u00a0who has undoubtedly done your part in promoting and spearheading the 5G transformation.\u00a0In this sense, the Chinese technology leader presented his\u00a0vision of 6G<\/strong>\u00a0during the Global Communications Conference held in Madrid between December 7 and 11;\u00a0and it must be admitted that his perspective has been very interesting.<\/p>\n

Huawei defines 6G as a distributed neural network with communication links<\/h3>\n

Going into detail, 6G connectivity promises much more than high browsing speeds and lower latency, as the services that will be possible go beyond communications.<\/p>\n

According to Peiying Zhu<\/strong>\u00a0, Senior Vice President of Wireless Research at Huawei, the 6G looks more like a \u201cdistributed neural network with communication links, in which the data center will become the neural center and the edge nodes will become neural edges \u201d.<\/p>\n

Continuing with this line of thinking, the 6G will be made up of a network of sensors and devices that can be used to perceive the environment using radio waves.\u00a0As a result, the so\u00a0–<\/strong>\u00a0called\u00a0Virtual-X communication<\/strong>\u00a0is produced\u00a0, which enables the joint performance of tasks in the real and virtual world.<\/p>\n

Naturally, users are only concerned with the use cases and benefits that this technology can bring us, and we can anticipate that the list is quite extensive.<\/p>\n

Some of\u00a0the typical use cases for 6G are haptic, multisensory, and holographic communication<\/strong>\u00a0, which have enormous potential to create immersive experiences.\u00a0But this is only the tip of the iceberg, as applications extend to Level 5 autonomous driving, robotics and smart healthcare, and artificial intelligence as a service.<\/p>\n

Therefore, the key capabilities of the sixth generation of networks lie with\u00a0native AI<\/strong>\u00a0,\u00a0extreme connectivity and integrated non-terrestrial networks<\/strong>\u00a0, just to name a few.<\/p>\n
