Schiit Audio\u00a0has released the Schiit Loki Max equalizer. The equalizer inherits the already well-known, simpler Schiit models like Loki Mini\u00a0and Lokius: no graphic slide potentiometers, only rotary dials, which in Loki Max<\/a> are complemented by a nice remote control in an aluminum case.<\/p>\n

But the main thing is inside.\u00a0Loki Max adjusts frequency response in six bands: 20 Hz, 120 Hz, 400 Hz, 2 kHz, 6 kHz and 16 kHz.\u00a0Moreover, the depth of adjustment smoothly changes from \u00b1 12 dB at the edges of the range to \u00b1 6 dB in the middle.\u00a0At the same time, SOI is promised in the entire frequency range not worse than 0.001%.<\/p>\n

For this, only LC filters (capacitor-inductance) were used in the circuit, and custom coils with a nickel core were used for certain ranges.\u00a0It all works in a fully discrete bipolar topology.<\/p>\n

The cherry on the cake can be considered adjustments specially created for Loki Max branded 31-step relay potentiometers on thin-film resistors with a tolerance of 0.5% and 60 relays under custom firmware.<\/p>\n

The result is an exact match of the parameters of both channels in any position.\u00a0A C-Core 48 VA transformer was used to power the system.\u00a0The module based on it provides \u00b1 16 V and \u00b1 32 V with double stabilization, plus a separate high-current 5 V power supply for the microprocessor and relay.<\/p>\n

In the US, the Schiit Loki Max will cost $ 1,500.<\/p>\n
