{"id":138505,"date":"2021-11-24T13:09:20","date_gmt":"2021-11-24T13:09:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.techweekmag.com\/?p=138505"},"modified":"2021-11-24T13:14:12","modified_gmt":"2021-11-24T13:14:12","slug":"audiolab-omnia-integrated-amplifier-just-add-speakers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/hi-fi\/audiolab-omnia-integrated-amplifier-just-add-speakers\/","title":{"rendered":"Audiolab Omnia Integrated amplifier: Just add speakers!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Omnia integrated amplifier from the British company Audiolab is a device to which the\u00a0motto &#8220;just add speakers&#8221;\u00a0is quite\u00a0suitable\u00a0.\u00a0Everything else (at least from the point of view of the average audio lover) is already there.<\/p>\n<p>The Audiolab Omnia is ready to stream, play CDs and drive turntables with a built-in JFET phono stage.\u00a0All of this is illustrated on a full color screen with a resolution of 800&#215;480 with a diagonal of 4.3 inches in the center of the bezel.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/177_techweek.jpg\" width=\"1028\" height=\"446\" \/><figcaption><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The built-in amplifier of the novelty works in class AB.\u00a0The power is 2&#215;50 W with 8 Ohm speakers, and on 4 Ohms it is already 2&#215;75 W.\u00a0Three linear analog inputs are complemented by the input of an MM-phono stage, there is also a &#8220;direct&#8221; input to the power amplifier.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>From digital interfaces, the device received two optical and two coaxial SPDIF inputs, as well as USB B and USB A ports. To this we add the ability to receive audio via Bluetooth from aptX \/ aptX LL and a 12V trigger.\u00a0The USB input is used to update the firmware.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/178_techweek.jpg\" width=\"1411\" height=\"1034\" \/><figcaption><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A LAN connector and \/ or 2-band Wi-Fi will allow multi-room, and through DTS Play-Fi, the owner of the Audiolab Omnia will have access to Spotify, Tidal, Amazon Music, Deezer, Qobuz, Audacy, TuneIn, iHeartRadio and SiriusXM.\u00a0The same technology works with local network audio storage.\u00a0In addition, the Audiolab Omnia can play files from USB memory devices or act as a computer sound card.<\/p>\n<p>In this case, the built-in 32-bit ES9038Q2M ESS Saber DAC with an active filter and specially selected op-amps will work with PCM audio with a resolution up to 32 bit \/ 768 kHz or DSD up to 22.5 MHz (DSD512).<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/179_techweek.jpg\" width=\"1767\" height=\"677\" \/><figcaption><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Reads FLAC, ALAC, AIFF and WAV files, as well as compressed and even outdated formats.\u00a0The novelty can be controlled from Android, iOS, Kindle Fire or Windows PC.\u00a0The Audiolab Omnia will be available in black or silver as early as December.<\/p>\n<p>In the UK, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.audiolab.co.uk\/omnia\/\">Audiolab Omnia<\/a> integrated amplifier will cost \u00a3 1,600.<\/p>\n<p>[ratemypost]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Omnia integrated amplifier from the British company Audiolab is a device to which the\u00a0motto &#8220;just add speakers&#8221;\u00a0is quite\u00a0suitable\u00a0.\u00a0Everything else (at least from the point of view of the average audio lover) is already there.
