{"id":136762,"date":"2021-09-21T13:55:54","date_gmt":"2021-09-21T12:55:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.techweekmag.com\/?p=136762"},"modified":"2023-06-22T09:46:58","modified_gmt":"2023-06-22T08:46:58","slug":"blood-pressure-monitoring-in-samsung-galaxy-watch-helps-those-suffering-from-parkinsons-disease","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/smartwatch\/blood-pressure-monitoring-in-samsung-galaxy-watch-helps-those-suffering-from-parkinsons-disease\/","title":{"rendered":"Blood pressure monitoring in Samsung Galaxy Watch helps those suffering from Parkinson&#8217;s disease"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A study by a Samsung Medical Center team led by Dr. Jin Wang Cho and Dr. Jong Hyun An\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/news.samsung.com\/ru\/galaxy-watchs-blood-pressure-monitoring-could-help-parkinsons-disease-patients-study-reveals\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">found<\/a>\u00a0that blood pressure monitoring, available in the Galaxy Watch 3, Galaxy Watch Active 2 and the new Galaxy Watch 4, helps Parkinson&#8217;s patients track orthostatic hypotension. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Orthostatic hypotension is common among people with Parkinson&#8217;s disease.\u00a0Frequent measurement of blood pressure can reveal critical fluctuations.\u00a0This is important, since with orthostatic hypotension in patients, possibly already suffering from cardiovascular diseases, the risks of a fall in this indicator increase.<\/p>\n<p>The complex sensors in the company&#8217;s smartwatches monitor blood pressure by analyzing the pulse wave with heart rate monitoring sensors.Users can follow in the Samsung Health Monitor application and share them in PDF format.
