There are big changes among the products of the American company Schiit Audio.\u00a0First, the manufacturer\u00a0renamed\u00a0its flagship Yggdrasil Analog 2 DAC to Yggdrasil OG (apparently, this stands for “original”).\u00a0This respected model is still based on four 20-bit AD5791 DAC chips.<\/p>\n

To this Schiit Audio added two new models at once.\u00a0The first one, Yggdrasil Less Is More, according to the brand, sounds even better than the freshly renamed OG – at least, subjective tests led to this conclusion.\u00a0The novelty works on four 16-bit TI DAC8812 DAC chips.<\/p>\n

Schiit Audio named another addition to the portfolio in a completely different way: Yggdrasil More Is Less.\u00a0There are also four chips installed here, this time a 20-bit TI DAC11001.\u00a0For this model, the THD + N coefficient is stated to be no worse than -120 dB.<\/p>\n

In this connection, Schiit stated that this Yggdrasil is “the best integrated multi-bit DAC with the best performance ever.”\u00a0All three Yggdrasil models feature a distinctive U-shape with a black or silver finish and a five-year warranty.<\/p>\n

In the US, the Schiit Audio Yggdrasil Less Is More DAC will cost $ 2,200, and the More Is Less model will cost $ 2,350. The company does not plan to stop there: according to the developers, ten variations of Yggdrasil are currently being tested at Schiit.<\/p>\n
