Sonos and outdoor clothing company North Face\u00a0have announced a\u00a0partnership to\u00a0release a series of ‘soundscapes’ for the Sonos Roam portable speaker.\u00a0They will be united by a common motto: “Never Stop Exploring”.\u00a0The newly formed multifaceted alliance of Sonos and The North Face is intended to draw attention to “large-scale expeditions and natural landscapes.”<\/p>\n

The landscapes were created by multi-instrumentalist Mikael Jorgensen, a member of the Grammy-winning Wilco brand.\u00a0Sonos says the soundscapes are based on original sounds on brand new tracks that span nine exciting locations, featuring renowned athletes, nature explorers and travelers.<\/p>\n

The first “soundscapes” used the sounds of such places as the High Sierra in California, the Himalayas, the Shomio Falls in Japan, the sounds of Mount Poi in Kenya, El Capitan in California, the sounds of Ethiopia, Peru, Queen Maud Land.<\/p>\n
