Avid, known for its professional music and video software, also owns the AvidPlay system through which musicians can sell songs across multiple platforms.\u00a0Now it is Amazon Music, Tidal and\u00a0Apple Music, which\u00a0recently\u00a0joined\u00a0them.\u00a0The AvidPlay dashboard allows users to manage their tracks and albums, as well as see how much money they are making from each song.<\/p>\n

The company recently\u00a0announced<\/a>\u00a0support for tracks mixed in Dolby Atmos.\u00a0\u201cNow is the time to distribute Dolby Atmos tracks to Apple Music from AvidPlay as they can attract more listeners,\u201d said Rob D’Amico, senior director of marketing for audio products at Avid.<\/p>\n

It is known that songs distributed by artists through AvidPlay have already been listened to more than one billion times.\u00a0So far, this concerns normal stereo.\u00a0Dolby Atmos content shouldn’t affect these statistics too much at first.<\/p>\n
