Marantz introduces the new Marantz AV8805A<\/b>\u00a013.2 channel processor \/ pre-amplifier\u00a0with 8K video and HDMI version 2.1 support.<\/p>\n

The AV8805A model is a seriously upgraded version of the AV8805 model, and now supports 8K \/ 60Hz and 4K \/ 120Hz video, HDR10 +, Dynamic HDR, HDCP 2.3, and a number of other technologies that allow you to use all the capabilities of the HDMI 2.1 standard with a bandwidth of 40 Gb \/ s without any -or restrictions.<\/p>\n

In keeping with Marantz’s commitment to providing maximum customer support, current owners of the original Marantz AV8805 will be able to upgrade their model’s HDMI board to the AV8805A specification by contacting an authorized Marantz dealer.<\/p>\n

Lots of multichannel sound options<\/h4>\n

The AV8805A provides a variety of DTS: X Pro\u00ae multi-channel surround sound options, allowing up to 13 channels of DTS: X mode to be used in a variety of speaker configurations such as 7.2.6 or 9.2.4.\u00a0The same configurations can be used for IMAX Enhanced mode as well.<\/p>\n

Other supported surround formats include Dolby Atmos\u00ae, Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization Technology, DTS: X\u00ae, DTS Virtual: X \u2122, IMAX\u00ae Enhanced, and Auro-3D\u00ae.<\/p>\n

For those who have not yet installed additional “ceiling” speakers, there is a Height Virtualization mode that allows you to simulate the sound effect of “ceiling” speakers at the expense of existing acoustics in 7.1, 5.1 or 2.1 configurations.<\/p>\n

High image quality via HDMI<\/h4>\n

The 8K-compatible HDMI 2.1 input on the AV8805A now provides 8K \/ 60Hz and 4K \/ 120Hz video pass-through.\u00a0In addition, there is support for the new HDR format, including HDR10 + and Dynamic HDR, and the new Quick Media Switching (QMS) function allows the source to instantly switch frame rates to eliminate the effect of screen flickering.\u00a0HDR10, HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) and Dolby Vision are still supported, as well as 4: 4: 4 color sub-decryption and BT.2020 pass-through.<\/p>\n

\"Marantz<\/p>\n

The AV8805A is capable of upscaling existing HD and 4K video content to 8K, enhancing even the worst source material and breathing new life into your favorite movie collection.\u00a0There is support for the eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel) function, which allows you to losslessly transfer sound in object-oriented DTS: X and Dolby Atmos formats using your TV’s smart application as a source.<\/p>\n

Advanced features are now available for gamers as well: 4K \/ 120Hz, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Automatic Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and Fast Frame Rate (QFT) to immerse yourself in the game with stunning visuals and minimal lag.<\/p>\n

The preliminary retail price for the Marantz AV8805A will be 549,000 dollars and will be available for order at the end of July from authorized Marantz dealers.\u00a0Information on the cost and timing of the board for modifying the AV8805 model to version \u201cA\u201d will be announced later.<\/p>\n
