The\u00a0Q Active line<\/b>\u00a0was designed with the explicit intention of offering an uncompromising versatile system that can play music from any source – TV, network streamer, smartphone, laptop or even a turntable.<\/p>\n

The heart of the system is a compact\u00a0Control Hub<\/b>\u00a0integrated into a home computer network via\u00a0Ethernet<\/b>\u00a0or\u00a0Wi-Fi<\/b>\u00a0.\u00a0It can work either through the built-in\u00a0Google Chromecast<\/b>\u00a0, or\u00a0Amazon Works<\/b>\u00a0comes\u00a0with\u00a0Alexa<\/b>\u00a0voice assistant\u00a0for each pair of speakers\u00a0.\u00a0This way, you can connect to a variety of wired and wireless sources and use voice commands to control playback.<\/p>\n

The system supports\u00a0Ethernet<\/b>\u00a0,\u00a0Wi-Fi<\/b>\u00a0,\u00a0\u00a0AirPlay 2,<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0Bluetooth<\/b>\u00a0.\u00a0In addition, supported technologies and interfaces include\u00a0Chromecast<\/b>\u00a0,\u00a0Roon<\/b>\u00a0,\u00a0Spotify Connect<\/b>\u00a0,\u00a0HDMI ARC<\/b>\u00a0, optical digital interface, and analog stereo input.\u00a0Moreover, the latter can be configured as a\u00a0Phono<\/b>\u00a0input\u00a0for direct connection of a turntable equipped with a moving magnet cartridge (\u00a0MM<\/b>).\u00a0Through digital interfaces, the central unit is ready to receive content with a resolution of up to 32 bit \/ 192 kHz, however, the maximum broadcast resolution to speakers is limited to 24 bit \/ 96 kHz.<\/p>\n

In addition, the\u00a0Q Active 400<\/b>\u00a0supports a wide variety of streaming services including\u00a0Amazon Music, Apple Music, Deezer, Qobuz, Spotify, and Tidal<\/b>\u00a0.\u00a0Moreover, navigation through the music library and playback control can be done from the own application of each service, including multi-room control.\u00a0The\u00a0Q Active 400<\/b>\u00a0can also function as a\u00a0UPnP<\/b>\u00a0media player\u00a0capable of streaming your digital music library from a computer or\u00a0NAS<\/b>\u00a0server\u00a0.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Q Active 400<\/b>\u00a0powered\u00a0loudspeakers\u00a0feature eight discrete class D amplifiers. As with the\u00a0Q Active 200<\/b>\u00a0bookshelf\u00a0speakers\u00a0, the\u00a0Q Active 400<\/b>\u00a0features two\u00a02.25-inch\u00a0Balanced Mode Radiators<\/b>\u00a0(BMR), offset to the side of the speaker centerline …\u00a0On the back of the cabinet are two 4.5-inch subwoofers supplemented with waveguides – one at the top of the speaker and one at the bottom.\u00a0The total power of the amplifiers is an impressive 440 watts.<\/p>\n

There are two switches on the back of the speaker systems: using the first, you can select the channel that will serve a particular speaker – right or left.\u00a0The second is to calibrate the bass response based on the location of the speakers in the room.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Q Acoustics Q Active 400<\/b>\u00a0wireless loudspeakers are\u00a0available in\u00a0matt white<\/i>\u00a0or\u00a0matt black<\/i>\u00a0finishes.\u00a0In the UK, the new product can be purchased for\u00a02 299 pounds sterling<\/b>\u00a0, and in Europe, the speakers are sold for\u00a02 999 euros<\/b>\u00a0.<\/p>\n
