transport case<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; twisted cable on mini-XLR connectors and 6,3 mm jack<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; headset cable with microphone on mini-XLR connectors and 3.5 mm jack<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; adapter from 3.5 mm to separate channels microphone-headphones<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; OMTP to CTIA adapter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There are no complaints about the twisted cable, it is incomparable, as always).\u00a0Adapters also do not raise questions, but the quality of the microphone wire, as well as the microphone itself, leaves much to be desired.\u00a0The headphones sound definitely better with a twisted 6,3 jack, but, what is most unpleasant, the microphone makes quite a lot of noise and gives out a not very pleasant sound.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Pasted-92.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-131495\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Pasted-92.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"810\" height=\"430\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Pasted-92.jpg 810w, https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Pasted-92-711x377.jpg 711w, https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Pasted-92-800x425.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Pasted-92-770x409.jpg 770w, https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Pasted-92-260x138.jpg 260w, https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Pasted-92-737x391.jpg 737w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 810px) 100vw, 810px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Perhaps there is something wrong with my devices, but it worked equally badly both when connected to a laptop (tested in Studio One 4 and in the built-in program from Windows) and when connected to a PS4 joystick &#8211; the sound from the microphone leaves much to be desired.\u00a0The interlocutor will hear you and it is quite possible to use it, but\u00a0\u00a0you do not expect such a negligent attitude\u00a0from\u00a0\u00a0<em>Audeze<\/em>\u00a0.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Design and ergonomics<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In terms of fit and ergonomics, the model is much more comfortable than its &#8220;non-gaming&#8221; brothers, but still loses to classic headsets.\u00a0The headphones are much lighter than the\u00a0\u00a0<em>LCD-2 Classic <\/em>, due to which, it is much more convenient to stay in them for a long time.\u00a0The bowls have become a bit neater in relation to the\u00a0\u00a0<em>Classic,\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0and the red mesh gives the monitors a flashy effect, which has a beneficial effect on the appearance.\u00a0The headphones look fresh against the background of boring audiophile classics.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Pasted-93.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-131497\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Pasted-93.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"810\" height=\"430\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Pasted-93.jpg 810w, https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Pasted-93-711x377.jpg 711w, https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Pasted-93-800x425.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Pasted-93-770x409.jpg 770w, https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Pasted-93-260x138.jpg 260w, https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Pasted-93-737x391.jpg 737w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 810px) 100vw, 810px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>But there is one snag regarding the form factor.\u00a0An open design is great, but imagine playing some kind of shooter (ideally with a voice chat, yeah), being in the same room with someone else.\u00a0Most likely you will be asked to leave with your computer, headphones and everything else.\u00a0Why it was impossible to take\u00a0<em>LCD-2 Closed<\/em>\u00a0as a basis\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0&#8211; I absolutely do not understand, because it would be much more practical in terms of noise isolation.\u00a0Yes, you can sit with open headphones much longer due to less pressure on your ears, but what&#8217;s the point if you are kicked out of the apartment?<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Sound<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><em>Audeze LCD-GX<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0is the most versatile genre headphones with amazing detail, liveliness and sound volume.\u00a0Juicy, rolling and collected bottom is especially prominent on heavy compositions.\u00a0The intelligibility of the sound is emphasized by live recordings, which not every headphone can pull out.\u00a0And the linear sound remains musical and rich, giving professional monitors&#8217; directivity.<\/p>\n<p>The sound and flow is very similar to the\u00a0\u00a0<em>Audeze LCD-2 Classic\u00a0.\u00a0<\/em>Probably, these are the same emitters, but in a slightly modified case.\u00a0They can be reduced, according to the assurances of the manufacturer, and I have no reason not to believe them.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0\u00a0monitors behaved just fine with the\u00a0<em>Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 (2 gen)<\/em>\u00a0audio interface\u00a0\u00a0.\u00a0As well as with the test players:\u00a0\u00a0<em>Astell &amp; Kern A &amp; futura SE100<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0and\u00a0\u00a0<em>Astell &amp; Kern A &amp; norma SR15<\/em>\u00a0.\u00a0The earbuds are very pliable and not as whimsical to the source as many professional models.\u00a0Naturally, the higher the quality of the player, the better, but\u00a0\u00a0they sounded good\u00a0with the\u00a0\u00a0<em>Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro 15.6<\/em>\u00a0, although one manufacturer knows how he does with the audio output.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Pasted-94.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-131498\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Pasted-94.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"810\" height=\"430\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Pasted-94.jpg 810w, https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Pasted-94-711x377.jpg 711w, https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Pasted-94-800x425.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Pasted-94-770x409.jpg 770w, https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Pasted-94-260x138.jpg 260w, https:\/\/www.stereoindex.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Pasted-94-737x391.jpg 737w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 810px) 100vw, 810px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And if the microphone disappointed me a little, then after several hours spent in &#8220;Doom 2016&#8221;, &#8220;Star Wars: Battlefront II&#8221; and &#8220;The Witcher 3&#8221; I realized that all these years in vain I was giving up a high-quality headset, preferring the dynamics of a TV or laptop. &#8230;\u00a0The lion&#8217;s share of the immersion in games of this level falls on the soundtrack and sound environment, which is much more vividly perceived through high-quality headphones.\u00a0Rushing with a shotgun through the bloody levels of Doom, under the gash of Mick Gordon, it is much more pleasant when the sound comes from detailed planars, creating a feeling of complete immersion.<\/p>\n<p>Conclusion<\/p>\n<p>As a result, we have an unmatched sounding and, in fact, an upgraded version of the\u00a0\u00a0<em>Audeze LCD-2 Classic<\/em>\u00a0.\u00a0For a small surcharge, you get the same headphones, but with a slightly better fit, a lighter body, a decent set of accessories, and an updated design.<\/p>\n<p>The sound, of course, is several heads higher than any gaming option, but how appropriate it is to use them as a gaming headset is up to you.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A headset from\u00a0\u00a0Audeze\u00a0\u00a0for audiophile gamers who take immersion as seriously as possible.\u00a0A small spoiler: it is not at all necessary to use them for their intended purpose, which we will deal with in more detail.
