Rotel<\/b>\u00a0updated their preamplifiers\u00a0RC-1590<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0RC-1572<\/b>\u00a0with the aim\u00a0“to ensure a higher level of acoustic performance”<\/i> . According to Rotel, the RC-1590 Mk II<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0RC-1572 Mk II<\/b>\u00a0models\u00a0are distinguished by many nuances that have made it possible to achieve the best sound.\u00a0When designing new products, technologies were used, created during work on amplifiers of the flagship\u00a0Michi<\/b>\u00a0series\u00a0.<\/a><\/p>\n

The\u00a0RC-1590 Mk II<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0RC-1572 Mk II<\/b>\u00a0preamplifiers\u00a0have received 75 circuit and component changes.\u00a0For example, replacing capacitors in the audio signal path has a beneficial effect on frequency response.\u00a0The circuit uses premium DAC chips from\u00a0Texas Instruments<\/b>\u00a0that handle digital streams up to 32-bit \/ 384 kHz.\u00a0Both models support\u00a0MQA<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0MQA Studio<\/b>\u00a0decoding\u00a0for\u00a0USB<\/b>\u00a0audio\u00a0and are Roon certified.<\/p>\n

The power supplies for the\u00a0RC-1590 Mk II<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0RC-1572 Mk II\u00a0<\/b>preamplifiers<\/b>\u00a0are based on\u00a0Rotel’s<\/b>\u00a0own toroidal transformers\u00a0, and the older model is equipped with two power transformers for separate power supply of digital and analog circuits.<\/p>\n

The new items are equipped with both balanced and unbalanced analog switching, a built-in phono stage for moving magnet (\u00a0MM<\/b>\u00a0)\u00a0heads\u00a0, digital ports, including a\u00a0USB-B<\/b>\u00a0port\u00a0, as well as a\u00a0Bluetooth<\/b>\u00a0wireless adapter\u00a0with support for\u00a0aptX<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0AAC<\/b>\u00a0for live streaming of content from mobile gadgets.<\/p>\n

Rotel’s<\/b>\u00a0next-generation\u00a0preamplifiers\u00a0are<\/b>\u00a0available in both Silver and Black finishes.\u00a0The new products are expected to be on sale in mid-summer at a suggested price\u00a0of \u00a3 1,695 \/ \u20ac 1,949<\/b>\u00a0for the older\u00a0RC-1590 Mk II<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0\u00a3 1,150 \/ \u20ac 1,299<\/b>\u00a0for the\u00a0RC-1572 Mk II<\/b>\u00a0preamplifier\u00a0.<\/p>\n
