Ayon<\/b>\u00a0updated the model integrated tube amplifier\u00a0by Scorpio<\/b>\u00a0.\u00a0Like its predecessor, the novelty allows the use of\u00a0EL34<\/b>\u00a0,\u00a0KT88<\/b>\u00a0, or\u00a0KT150<\/b>\u00a0lamps in the output stages\u00a0.\u00a0The amplifier is capable of working with loudspeakers with a nominal impedance of 4 or 8 ohms – each option uses its own secondary winding of the output transformers.<\/p>\n

The amplifier’s switching arsenal includes four unbalanced line level inputs on\u00a0RCA<\/b>\u00a0connectors\u00a0.\u00a0The new generation of the amplifier has a\u00a0USB<\/b>\u00a0port\u00a0for connecting a computer as a digital transport.\u00a0In this case,\u00a0Ayon Scorpio II is<\/b>\u00a0ready to accept\u00a0PCM<\/b>\u00a0digital streams\u00a0up to 32 bit \/ 384 kHz and\u00a0DSD<\/b>\u00a0up to\u00a0DSD256<\/b>\u00a0.\u00a0The only regret is the absence of other optical inputs – coaxial and optical.<\/p>\n

The amplifier circuitry is built without the use of feedback.\u00a0The input stages are based on\u00a06SN7<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a06SJ7 tubes<\/b>\u00a0.\u00a0The integrated amplifier can operate in a triode or pentode mode.\u00a0The output power is determined by the lamps used in the output stages – for the\u00a0KT150,<\/b>\u00a02 x 50 W in the pentode mode and 2 x 35 W in the triode\u00a0mode are declared<\/b>\u00a0, for the\u00a0KT88,<\/b>\u00a0respectively 2 x 42 W and 2 x 30 W, and for the\u00a0EL34<\/b>\u00a0– 2 x 37 W and 2 x 25 W.\u00a0The manufacturer declares an operating frequency range of 15 Hz to 40 kHz.\u00a0Weight\u00a0Ayon Scorpio II<\/b>\u00a0reaches impressive 29 kg.<\/p>\n

In Europe, the new generation\u00a0Ayon Scorpio II<\/b>\u00a0tube integrated amplifier\u00a0is available for\u00a0\u20ac 4,700<\/b>\u00a0with\u00a0KT150 tubes<\/b>\u00a0.\u00a0Option with lamps\u00a0KT88<\/b>\u00a0will cost\u00a04200 euros<\/b>\u00a0, and for the amplifier, equipped with lamps\u00a0EL34<\/b>\u00a0will have to pay\u00a03700 euros<\/b>\u00a0.<\/p>\n
