Canon\u00a0has introduced a firmware update for the three professional mirrorless and DSLR camera system\u00a0the EOS the R\u00a0.\u00a0New versions of firmware are based on customer feedback.\u00a0For\u00a0EOS R5\u00a0(firmware v1.3),\u00a0EOS R6\u00a0(v1.3 firmware), and\u00a0EOS 1D X Mark III\u00a0(v1.4 firmware), updates are now available to help streamline workflows and provide even more creative freedom.<\/p>\n

Improved image quality and increased usability<\/h3>\n

Updates for\u00a0EOS R5\u00a0include the possibility of recording in the format\u00a0Full HD\u00a0with a frequency\u00a0of 120 frames \/ sec\u00a0and extended customization of the camera.\u00a0Users can now save individual and preferred settings of the device to a memory card, which will allow them to be copied to other cameras or easily restored to the same one if the settings have been changed.\u00a0It also became possible to turn off the LCD screen during shooting and use it only to view the footage, which makes this model similar in principle to a DSLR camera.\u00a0EOS R5\u00a0and\u00a0EOS R6\u00a0Firmware Updates Provide Always-On\u00a0Manual\u00a0RF\u00a0Lens Adjustment, thanks to which it will be possible to perform manual focus correction in\u00a0Servo AF\u00a0mode\u00a0.<\/p>\n

Optimization of work processes<\/h3>\n

With the new Secure Image Transfer feature, professional photographers using the\u00a0EOS R5\u00a0can safely save and quickly FTP their photos protected from accidental deletion.\u00a0EOS 1D X Mark III\u00a0and\u00a0EOS R5\u00a0users\u00a0can now see on the camera screen how long it will take to transfer files.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Advanced video functions<\/h3>\n

The new firmware for the\u00a0EOS R5\u00a0and\u00a0EOS 1D X Mark III\u00a0models\u00a0allows you to record RAW video at a low bit rate, which reduces the size of video files and shortens the time it takes to send them.\u00a0The update has also expanded the\u00a0EOS R5’s\u00a0video capabilities to\u00a0support\u00a0Canon Log 3\u00a0gamma\u00a0, which is found on all\u00a0Cinema EOS cameras\u00a0, for increased dynamic range, superior color grading capabilities and easy file management.\u00a0The firmware also includes the ability to record video with\u00a0IPB\u00a0interframe compression\u00a0and low bit rate, which allows you to create small files that are even easier to share.<\/p>\n
