The Teac UD-701 DAC \/ Network Player has\u00a0joined<\/a>\u00a0the Reference series.\u00a0The heart of the novelty is a proprietary delta-sigma DAC based on discrete elements.\u00a0It handles DSD up to 22.5 MHz and PCM up to 384 kHz \/ 32-bit.\u00a0Via USB, the UD-701 is ready to receive a signal from systems on PC or Mac platforms.\u00a0The design provides for upsampling by 2, 4 or 8 times using the RDOT-NEO (Refined Digital Output Technology NEO) interpolation algorithm.<\/p>\n

In addition to digital capabilities, the Teac UD-701 received the functionality of a pre-amplifier with switchable analog and digital inputs.\u00a0Thanks to its volume control, the Teac UD-701 streamer-DAC is considered an excellent partner for the\u00a0Teac AP-701 power amplifier that\u00a0came out<\/a>\u00a0at the same time.\u00a0Both devices are combined in design.<\/p>\n

All circuitry of the UD-701, as well as of the AP-701 amplifier, conforms to the “dual mono” principle.\u00a0The high resolution analog preamp circuits use Teac-QVCS technology.\u00a0With a THD of 0.005%, the UD-701 provides a signal-to-noise ratio of at least 110 dB.\u00a0Also, the novelty has received a high-quality balanced headphone output.<\/p>\n

In addition to rear panel inputs and network switching, the UD-701 is equipped with a Bluetooth module supporting LDAC, aptX HD and other high definition codecs.\u00a0The novelty has been certified OpenHome and Roon Ready (like Tidal Connect, these features will appear in the next firmware).\u00a0Spotify Connect, Tidal, Qobuz and TuneIn are available out of the box.\u00a0The full MQA decoding has not been forgotten either.<\/p>\n
