Sony has registered a new camera called Sony ILME-FX3. It is claimed to be a new E-mount compact cinema camera.<\/p>\n

According to the source, the new\u00a0Sony ILME-FX3<\/strong>\u00a0camera\u00a0will receive the following characteristics:<\/p>\n

1) The ability to shoot ultra-high resolution 8K video (one of the sources refutes this function with the Sony FX3 cinema camera)
\n2) DCI 4K shooting without an additional crop factor
\n3) Support for 4K 120 k \/ s
\n4) The camera uses CFExpress Type A memory cards<\/p>\n

The source reports that in some ways the new Sony FX3 cinema camera will be more advanced than the older models Sony FX6 and Sony FX9 (both are part of the new line of cameras from Sony).\u00a0However, its main feature will be a new design of the case – the movie camera will be made in the form factor of a camera.<\/p>\n

As can be judged from the presented photo, the FX3 cinema camera really got an unusual form factor for the series – a camera and looks more like the new A7c , which was announced quite recently.<\/p>\n

One of the sources said that this camera will cost 3795 euros. The official price may be at the level of the new Canon C70 (also made in a camera form factor).<\/p>\n

In addition, it can be seen that the camera will receive a fully rotatable display, as well as a cooling system.\u00a0At the top of the camera there are holes for mounting the mounts.\u00a0In this case, the camera has a special button for recording video (on the top of the body), as well as a shutter button – in a place traditional for this form factor.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the image shows that the Sony FX3 is very compact.<\/p>\n

Sony has not commented on the possible announcement of a new compact movie camera at this time.\u00a0The source reports that the pre-order for the new movie camera will start\u00a0on February 23, 2021<\/strong>\u00a0.\u00a0The camera can be presented at the\u00a0CP + 2021\u00a0online event\u00a0.<\/p>\n
