Creative today announced the release of Sound Blaster PLAY!\u00a04, a pocket-sized hi-res USB DAC with headphone amplifier that comes to help users communicate effectively now in quarantine.\u00a0On the one hand it has as USB C input and on the other as a 3.5 mm mini jack output for our headphones.\u00a0There is also a converter from USB C to USB A (for traditional USB).<\/p>\n

The built-in headphone amplifier can drive headphones from 16\u03a9 to 150\u03a9.<\/p>\n

With the brand new SmartComms Kit software (for Windows), Sound Blaster PLAY!\u00a04 comes with a range of communication features, such as VoiceDetect and Two-way Noise Canceling that make any video conferencing easy, suppressing room noise for those who work from home.<\/p>\n

The new VoiceDetect feature allows users to speak freely without interruption as the mute mode changes based on voice detection – the microphone turns on automatically when the user’s voice is detected and automatically mutes when no further speech is detected.\u00a0This allows users to focus on what matters most – the conversation itself – rather than the button they have to press.<\/p>\n

Despite its small size, the Sound Blaster PLAY!\u00a04 has good sound and has a resolution of 24bit \/ 192KHz.<\/p>\n

Users can also further enhance the sound quality of their content with Bass Boost and Dynamic EQs, whether it be music, movies or games, with the EQ button cleverly positioned for ease of use.<\/p>\n

In addition, users retain access to the updated Sound Blaster Acoustic Engine that offers a range of cutting-edge audio processing technologies, such as Surround immersion and CrystalVoice.<\/p>\n

These features are easily accessible to the user through the new Creative app, the new software platform with a built-in communication interface between various products.<\/p>\n

Sound Blaster Play! 4 is easily configurable on multiple platforms – from PC, Mac to PS5, PS4 and Nintendo Switch.<\/p>\n
