During CES 2021, Lenovo unveiled new Legion gaming laptops and accessories, including the Lenovo Legion 7, Lenovo Legion Slim 7, Lenovo Legion 5 and Lenovo Legion 5 Pro.\u00a0According to the manufacturer, the new laptops use artificial intelligence to automatically provide the best gaming experience.\u00a0The AI \u200b\u200bEngine transfers unused power (depending on the game and the type of load) from the central processor to the GPU and vice versa, depending on where it is needed at a particular moment in the game.\u00a0With integrated machine learning technology, the system evenly distributes the Thermal Design Power (TDP) between the CPU and GPU to optimize gameplay.<\/p>\n

The 2021 flagship Lenovo Legion 7 features an updated 16-inch IPS display with a 16:10 aspect ratio (2560 \u00d7 1600 resolution), which offers 11% more screen real estate.\u00a0The display has a 3ms response time, 165Hz refresh rate, 500 nits brightness, HDR 400 certification, Dolby Vision and Nvidia G-Sync support.\u00a0Lenovo Legion 7 can be configured with one of the new AMD Ryzen 5000 series processors (up to Ryzen 9), next-gen NVIDIA RTX mobile graphics, up to 32GB of 3200MHz DDR4 RAM, and NVMe PCIe SSD up to 2TB.\u00a0Sales of this model will start in June at a price of $ 1,669.99.<\/p>\n

The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 version is aimed at fans of compact systems.\u00a0It is lighter and thinner than its older brother, weighing only 1.9 kg.\u00a0However, this model is also equipped with new AMD Ryzen 5000 processors and NVIDIA graphics cards, however, detailed specifications have not been disclosed yet.\u00a0Users can choose from 15.6-inch IPS displays with a resolution of 4K (3840 \u00d7 2160 pixels, 60 Hz refresh rate) or Full HD (1920 \u00d7 1080 pixels, 165 Hz refresh rate).\u00a0The novelty will hit the market in May, but its estimated price has not yet been disclosed.<\/p>\n

Lenovo’s Legion 5 line of gaming laptops includes three models: the regular Legion 5 in 15.6- and 17.3-inch versions, and the Legion 5 Pro with a 16-inch display.\u00a0The screen in the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro has a resolution of 2560 \u00d7 1600 pixels (16:10 ratio) and a refresh rate of 165 Hz.\u00a0Configurations offer the latest AMD CPUs and NVIDIA GPUs, but the choice is not as rich as in the case of the Lenovo Legion 7. For example, the maximum available processor is limited to Ryzen 7, and the amount of RAM can not exceed 16 GB.\u00a0Lenovo Legion 5 Pro starts at $ 999.99, with sales starting in March.<\/p>\n

Both Lenovo Legion 5 modifications are also offered with new AMD processors up to Ryzen 7. But the RAM capacity can already reach 32 GB, and the M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD capacity is 2 TB.\u00a0The 15.6 “version has a choice of three displays at 60, 120 and 144 Hz, while the 17.3” version has a choice of 60 or 144 Hz displays.\u00a0In all cases, the image resolution is Full HD.\u00a0Lenovo Legion 5 will hit the market in March starting at $ 769.99.<\/p>\n

In addition to gaming laptops, Lenovo has released an updated version of the ThinkBook Plus Gen 2 with an additional 12-inch E Ink display in the lid.\u00a0This screen has a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels, supports touch input and the ability to use a stylus.\u00a0The main IPS display also has a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels.\u00a0It supports Dolby Vision and 400 nits maximum brightness.\u00a0Configuration can include one of Intel’s new 11th Gen processors, up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB SSD.\u00a0Sales of Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 2 will begin in the first quarter at a price of $ 1,549.<\/p>\n

In addition, three more models have been announced in the ThinkBook line.\u00a0The Lenovo ThinkBook 13x business laptop is based on the Intel Evo platform and is positioned as one of the thinnest devices with a 13-inch display.\u00a0In terms of features, this model is very similar to the ThinkBook Plus Gen 2, but lacks an E Ink display, which brought the price down to $ 1199.<\/p>\n
