Microsoft<\/span><\/b>\u00a0has prepared an updated office suite\u00a0<\/span>Office 365<\/span><\/b>\u00a0, which implements native support for the new ARM-based processors\u00a0<\/span>Apple’s the M1<\/span><\/b>\u00a0.\u00a0As a result, all popular applications in the suite –\u00a0<\/span>Word<\/span><\/b>\u00a0,\u00a0<\/span>Excel<\/span><\/b>\u00a0,\u00a0<\/span>PowerPoint<\/span><\/b>\u00a0,\u00a0<\/span>OneNote<\/span><\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>Outlook –<\/span><\/b>\u00a0run on laptops and computers based on the\u00a0<\/span>M1<\/span><\/b>\u00a0processor\u00a0without the help of an\u00a0<\/span>x86<\/span><\/b>\u00a0emulator\u00a0.<\/span><\/p>\n

The only exception so far is the\u00a0<\/span>Microsoft Teams<\/span><\/b>\u00a0video conferencing app\u00a0.\u00a0The company promises that it will also finalize this application, but has not yet announced a specific time frame.\u00a0At the same time, one of the main competitors of\u00a0<\/span>Microsoft Teams<\/span><\/b>\u00a0, the\u00a0<\/span>Slack<\/span><\/b>\u00a0service\u00a0, has already announced the release of a beta version of its application, in which this problem is solved.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to providing native compatibility with the\u00a0<\/span>M1<\/span><\/b>\u00a0processor\u00a0,\u00a0<\/span>Microsoft Office 365<\/span><\/b>\u00a0applications\u00a0underwent design changes, and\u00a0<\/span>Outlook<\/span><\/b>\u00a0began to support\u00a0<\/span>iCloud<\/span><\/b>\u00a0cloud service accounts\u00a0with mail, contacts and calendar synchronization capabilities.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
