BenQ has announced two new high-end laser projectors. The BenQ V6000 and V6050 have a projection surface of 70 to 120 inches and display images in 4K resolution. Both models will be in stores at the end of October and will have a suggested retail price of 4000 euros.<\/p>\n
The V6000 and V6050 are the same in terms of specifications, only the color of the housing differs.\u00a0It is silver-white on the BenQ V6000 and black on the V6050. BenQ markets the projectors as alternatives to the larger Ultra HD televisions.\u00a0This is because a projector takes up much less space and can be moved more easily.\u00a0In terms of size, the models are 50 centimeters wide, 39 cm high and 16 cm deep.\u00a0As mentioned, the projectors can display images in 4K (3840 by 2160 pixels) with a projection surface of 70 to 120 inches.\u00a0According to BenQ, that format can already be achieved when the projector is placed directly in front of a wall.\u00a0There is also a built-in rangefinder that can help determine the ideal projection size.<\/p>\n
The built-in lamp has a light output of 3000 lumens and must be able to burn at least 20,000.\u00a0The lens comes with a motion sensor that switches off the light source when the light source is blocked.\u00a0This protects the eyes of children who bend over the projector, for example.\u00a0When the projector is not in use, the lens is closed by an auto-closing aluminum cover.\u00a0The projectors have a contrast of 3,000,000: 1 and cover 98% and 96% of the DCI-P3 and Rec.709 color spaces, respectively, according to BenQ.\u00a0There is support for the\u00a0HDR formats\u00a0HDR10 and HLG.\u00a0Each video is displayed smoothly through the proprietary Cinema Master + technology and motion interpolation MEMC.<\/p>\n
