Apple may still be years away from unveiling its next major iPhone redesign, but the rumor mill is already in full swing. According to the YouTube channel fpt, development of the so-called iPhone 20 lineup is reportedly happening behind closed doors at Apple, and new renders circulating online are giving fans a glimpse of what could become the company’s most radical iPhone redesign in years.

The leaked concept images, reportedly based on insider information and supply-chain rumors, show a futuristic iPhone with an almost entirely bezel-free design. The device appears to feature an uninterrupted glass front, no visible Dynamic Island, and even the Face ID system hidden underneath the display itself. If accurate, it would mark one of the biggest visual changes to the iPhone since Apple introduced the notch with the iPhone X.

Perhaps even more surprising is the complete absence of physical buttons. According to the leaks, Apple may replace traditional volume and power buttons with solid-state touch controls powered by haptic feedback. Instead of physically pressing a button, users would interact with pressure-sensitive areas on the frame that simulate a click through vibration motors, similar to the technology already used in the MacBook trackpad.

The display itself is also rumored to receive a major overhaul. The iPhone 20 could feature a new-generation OLED panel with subtly curved edges that blend seamlessly into the frame, creating an almost borderless appearance. Combined with under-display sensors, the phone would move closer to the long-rumored vision of a true “all-screen” iPhone.

Under the hood, Apple is expected to debut its next-generation 2-nanometer A21 chip, potentially delivering massive improvements in both performance and power efficiency. Camera upgrades are also rumored to be significant, with leaks pointing toward a new 200-megapixel main sensor paired with improved HDR processing for more detailed and dynamic photography.

Battery technology may also evolve dramatically. Reports suggest Apple is exploring silicon-carbon battery designs, which could allow for higher energy density and longer battery life without increasing the physical size of the device.

One detail still causing confusion is the name itself. If Apple continues its normal release schedule, the 2027 model should technically be called the iPhone 19. However, many insiders believe Apple could skip directly to “iPhone 20” to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the original iPhone launch in 2007, much like the company jumped from the iPhone 8 to the iPhone X for the iPhone’s 10th anniversary.

Still, it is important to remember that none of these details have been officially confirmed by Apple. The current images are unofficial renders, and many early rumors never make it into final products. But if even part of these leaks turns out to be true, Apple could be preparing one of the most ambitious iPhone redesigns the company has attempted in over a decade.
